Concentration Skill

Is there any utility in a modified Concentration score higher than 31 for a light monk (for a quick align the heavens / other finisher on request) or higher than 50 for a dark monk (for storing a Touch of Death between groups of mobs)?

I'm totally open to being convinced on this - just thinking ahead for the possibility of a minimal int half-orc.

Leveling, at lower levels I REALLY REALLY wanted more concentration. The closer I got to 20 though, the more my innate ki generation was going to get me "enough" anyway.

I wouldn't dump concentration - you thinking about getting rid of it entirely or just reduced points into it?

Yeah, thanks Voodoo. I hadn't thought expressly about the lower levels, but I will think about that.

I was honestly thinking no ranks at all, but having now done the math below, I think I need some.
+15 item (Shintao Cord)
+2 past-life
+10 capstone
+8 Con (maybe? Not sure of my final CON, so this may be optimistic)
+4 GH
+6 Greensteel HP Cloak

With a Half-orc of 6 int, monks get 4 - 2 = 2 skill points per level, meaning UMD (or both Stealth skills) would be literally it.

Mostly I'm wondering if there is a compelling argument for max Conc, rather than just aiming at the benchmarks of 31 and 50.

Well you could always go the route of leveling him up as normal, and then doing a Lesser Reincarnation on him to respec out of INt and Concentration, once you wer able to use the items above.
