Default put epic mode on anything but Devil Assault

Does anyone know what they mean by Update 7 will add epic mode to Devil Assault? Cuz it either means epic on the new lvl 6 raid that's going to be added to it, epic on devil assault itself, or both.

I just got together my ultra hardcore all lvl 20 super pro group who breeze through epic quests like a cakewalk. What quest could possibly merit a gather like that? Devil assault on elite. ELITE!!!! lol

First run we got pwned in round 3, 2nd run, 2 of us used rest tokens and we still all died in the final wave and then cheated to remote hit the orthons and casters then forced the boss to spawn early and teleport him through the door to beat it and re-entered for SP after that. If we can't beat elite with a perfect group without cheating like 4 different ways, WHY ARE YOU ADDING EPIC MODE?! That is going to be physically unbeatable and cause more player rants than all other topics in the history of DDO combined.

I told my party they're adding epic when we finally got done with that nightmare and they didn't believe me. They thought it was a joke and really so do I right about now. So what's my suggestion? DON'T ADD EPIC MODE TO THIS AWFUL QUEST!

Add it to Sharn or Threnal, that'd be sweet.

You're not that much of a 'super pro group' if you got your ass handed to you by that quest. Duo'd it with a buddy of mine with a drow sorc (me) and a wf ranger (him).

This quest can quite easily be solo'd depending on the class, skill, equipment, and knowledge of the quest. It's not that much of a problem.

As for "other" Epic quests, I'd rather NOT have to run Epic "Misery Peak" thank you.

    two words:

    Epic Pit.

I'd sooner gouge out my eyes with a rusty spoon and eat them without ketchup.
Once tried opening a shoe shop for beholders, when that didn't work out I decided to hit stuff with lumps of sharpened metal instead.

Replace ketchup with t.urds and you've summed up how I'd feel about running the pit on epic, or hard, normal or casual.

I love it when people complain about the Pit. I mean, its cool. people probably lead you through that terrible(read: Hella short and hella easy) maze in crucible right?

The mobs in the pit aren't the problem. Its the cat herding. People get lead through and then they go "you know...I should just never do this again" Instead, why don't you think "You know, if I read a walk through I bet I could learn this pretty quick, since there are less than ten different rooms"

A lot of back and forth isn't much fun.
A lot of back and forth with respawning mobs isn't much fun.
A lot of back and forth with a ton of traps that need to be evaded isn't much fun.
A lot of back and forth in a location where it is very easy to get separated from the group isn't much fun.
A lot of back and forth in a location where some degree of Mario skills (coming from some person with good Mario skills, and who enjoys lots of jumping and such) isn't much fun.
A lot of back and forth in a location with a lot of vertical exploration with a **** poor map isn't much fun.
A lot of back and forth in a location with few shrines that are spread out and difficult to get to (see above points) isn't much fun.

I duo'd elite with a friend of mine and we almost finished it. We are both wizards. I missed a helf heal and my the time he hit me, I was already getting pounded into the ground. negati-POSITIVE HEALTH! Neg-POSITIVE HEALTH! It drained his SP and we died eventually.

We didn't complete it, but only because screwed up and didnt rest when I needed to, which let everything else go downhill.

    TLDR;
You and your team need to work on your combat skills.
    --Edit--
    Best epic quest ever?
    Kobold assault.

I don't post often, but boy, this made me laugh so hard. I know we are derailing the thread here, but.... really?
The pit is one of the best quests in the game! right alongside crucible, genesis point, rainbow in the dark, and abbot (or actually, most of necro 4). These quests are great because it takes some knowledge and skills beyond (1) kill mob, (2) go to next mob, (3) goto (1)

My first time in the pit, I was with a bunch of vets. finished the quest in about 35 min, and had no clue what's going on. I managed not to fall into the lava, and even showed up to the final fight. Second time through, I came with a friend and 2 pugs. we spent almost 3 hours in there figuring everything out. My personal record to date is a two men elite run with a guildy at 13 min (at level 10), and I've seen screen shots of faster runs. Nowadays, if I don't solo it, I post "come and I'll teach you" lfms. I take it slow, making sure to explain to the pugs what's going on. we tend to finish in 40-50 min, and I always get thanks for it.

go in there with a friend, throw out any walkthrough you may have seen, and figure it out for yourself. you'll never look at the pit the same way again.

    * there isn't that much back and forth, and if it really bugs you, use DD
    * if you either tell people where to go, show them, or they already know, you don't get seperated. besides, this is a quest where separating is good - you send one person to do one room, and go to the next. as soon as the barrier is done, you go in and solve. by the time you are done, s/he is at the next room solving already, etc.
    * the traps, on elite, hit you for 3-10 hp, critting for around 30. drink a pot
    * there are no respawning mobs anywhere you need to return to. only two rooms have them, and you only have to deal with them while you are in those rooms.

but then, I guess your favorite quest is butcher path, and you still have to pull up a solver for shroud, right?

They should jsut epic EVERY korthos and Harbor quest. Then hit marketplace. Then move on to the houses and adventure packs.

Come on now; if you are level 20, you have certainly spent turbine points at some point. There isnt a "Probably" in there. You DID. You cannot actually level up from free quests past level 15 or so.
