One of my all-time favorite arena rock shows was Pearl Jam (Ten), Smashing Pumpkins (Gish?) and Red Hot Chili Peppers (Blood Sugar Sex Magic Tour). Saw it at the Target center in Minneapolis, must have been in the early 90's (92-93?) What a show.

I thought this thread was about the introduction of pumpkins into the game as visual elements.

Well we smashed a Beholder Pumpkin tonight on the Graveyard that I guess Eldarin summoned

... was hell of a fun too but indeed you can't compare that to a live concert

My fav was an early 90's concert - Midnight Oil, Tragically Hip, Moxy Fruvos and a few other popular Canadian bands at the time - went with a few friend one of whom brought along his Swedish twin roommates......GREAT times.

Saw "The Game" tour around '80. It was great, the set list was close to Queen Live Killers
with the new material worked in.

    Cheers

Saw the Pumpkins in the early 2000's (I think) perform the 'Adore' album at the Grand'ol Opry in Nashville, TN. LOL it was awesome to hear them in such an intimate venue, not to mention the home of country music. The acoustics were outstanding, and Billy plays the S**t out of a piano!

Really I kid - Sister Christian - the required power ballad and a good choice for second to last end of high school dance song.(for a two month period ).

My favorite live performers are now Cowboy Junkies. Always an intimate venue, Margot tells you the stories behind the songs and interacts with the audience and she even come out front after the show to talk and sign autographs. Somewhat different from the Mettalica concerts I used to go to.

I actually really like the Adore album. It's the only Smashing Pumpkins that I owned until just recently. A month or so ago I bought Gish and Siamese Dream. Eventually I'll get my hands on Mellon Collie. I used to have a scratched up disk of that (maybe only one of two disks?) that a previous roommate had left behind, but it eventually bought the farm.

That's awesome! Incredibly jealous. Was planning to go, but well.. I was too lazy to buy tickets before they sold out.
