If LFM joking about bothers you, take these steps:

    Examine the LFM.

Is it joking about, but also an actual LFM with a quest/raid group that needs more spots filled? (Do Nothing. This is not against guidelines in any way, barring profanity and filter bypassing)

Is it Just a marketplace ad, or a guild recruiting ad, or a joke about someones Mom(probably Tot)? (Report it if you feel that it REALLY bothered you that much.)

Then, try to have a nice day.

You mean you would deny me entertainment like this?:

Once tried opening a shoe shop for beholders, when that didn't work out I decided to hit stuff with lumps of sharpened metal instead.

    What's this about?

What did the "cute" LFM say?
Those are not pebbles surrounding the urn filled with Human teeth. They are megaliths!

    bad lfm example 1:

"All female WF guild recruiting - must speak Angolan!!!" (no actual lfm set up)

    bad lfm example 2:

"WTS +3 Greatsword of Tendon Slice 2% - send tell with offers!" (no actual lfm set up)

    bad lfm example 3:

"Hey Pookie738, your mom wants here customized Hell Hound collar back" (no actual lfm set up)

    ...

I really don't want to report anyone. So I thought I'd just ask nicely instead.

lfm screen is for people trying to find groups, not read your spam, spammer.

this post reminds people not to be ignorant pigs. therefore it serves a purpose and is not entirely useless.

how's that clever thing working out for ya?

I would guess the first and third example you used are probably guild or channel groups forming or reforming and they put up nonsense comments or requirements to prevent others from requesting to join.

Your second is, from my memory of the rules, against the rules and you have three choices as I see it.
    1. Report it
    2. Send the person a tell and advise them as such
    3. Ignore it
