Also... If rogue mechanic... Bring a Wounding of Puncturing/Slaver's Hand Crossbow and kill steal across the room. You won't kill red names with it, but it means you can kill steal everything, kill casters (especially) without getting close, and generally grind everything short of red names out before most people can get to them...
...regardless of sneak attack range.
Bonus points for Nightshade venom.
