    Default Pale Master and Negative Energy Absorption

    Hi all,

    I was just wondering if the Negative Energy Absorption is suppose to affect the Pale Master when in undead form. Right now, if I put my shroud item on, my self heal from my aura will lose 20% healing power because I have the Negative Energy Absoprtion 20% on my shroud item. All the effect on the shroud item should be to help us, not hinder us. So I was wondering if the PM could be unaffected by this effect.

    What they should do is make it work in reverse. Healing amp for negative energy spells. Too bad tho, seems like a good concept we'll never get.

    We had healing amp for negative energy spells, the original pale master ToD set made all incoming negative energy doubled - but that was before we got pale master.

    And yes, they should change it back.

    Maybe they changed it cause 200% amp wouldve been a bit overpowered with death aura and abbot robe.

    I agree.

    A beneficial Negative Energy Absorption effect ought not subtract from beneficial negative energy spells any more than Spell Resistance or Fortitude Saves ought to.

    It's probably yet another bug. I suppose they'll get around to it about the same time as the Phiarlan Shield stops eating Raise Dead spells

    Add that to the spell absorption and self saving throw issues.

    Now, not to bash the idea, but magic for resistance and absorption is abjuration, so is supposed to block the effect.
    Gotta be necromancy like death ward, that's for sure able to channel the drained energy.
