Default Question reguarding the "favor Grind" dealy ive seen

ive looked around a bit about the 100 point dash as it were and was a lil curious about it..
this may be an odd question but is it allowed..
from reading.. 2 hours for about 25 points that can add up in time
grind enough for deleras tomb can take a week or so in grinding

i mean ive seen posts aroud here and there and really was wondering about it

if this is out of place my appoligies il remove it try elsewhere

    its piqued my curiousity though
as someone Still unemploied im uable to buy points but grinding favor though tedious and time consuming would work for some smaller packs.
[ and yes i have been looking for a job but nothing .. and i mean nothing aroud hre is hireing..ive been trying for 2 months..]

so all in all.. what do you think/ have to say about it?

It works and some people do it. You get the biggest bonus for your first time on a new server so you want to grind to 100 once/server as your starting point.

maybe the way its setup is it would equate out to work.. 8 hours a day grinding the quests over and over for 100 points a day

    XD

i was just wondering its legit-ness though ide be very sad if i ended up doin this for a bit and trying to log one day and see " youve been banned... sorry" pop up somewhere

i dont mind sacraficing my main toons advancement to grind out some favor/points in order ot get some of the other modules

Favor grinding is most certainly allowed.

When f2p was first announced strategies like this were openly discussed and the devs commented that they had a pool going for how long it would take for someone to reach level 20 without paying a penny.

I think they figure that 99% of players who stick with it for more than a few weeks will EVENTUALLY give them some cash and won't free ride all the way and that's why they are ok with freeloaders.

well, if you have access to a 2nd account (and computer) or a couple of buddies to help you out, you can actually earn 25 turbine points in about 15 to 20 mins by zerging a freshly rolled character through a certain sequence of quests on elite. (some poster long ago worked out an optimal list of quests to run, but i'm too lazy to search for that post right now.) rinse and repeat at 100 favor, and you can easily gain 100 tp in about 1.5 hours.

even though this sort of favor farming is doable, i think it gets incredibly monotonous for most people pretty quickly, yet with a high tolerance for boredom, you can grind out every bit of content this way. however, ultimately, you should still consider how much your time is worth. even a super efficient grind generating 100 tp per hour comes out to less than $2/hour return on your effort--less than $1/hour if you consider some of the point package sales. if you lack anything better to do, that's probably still a good trade, but for many others (particularly ones with decent paying jobs or busy lives), it's more fun to just drop a few bucks here and there, and just use the time that would be spent on grinding favor towards developing characters that they're actually interested in.

It is legit. Why? Because you could make more money for points working at McDonald's for an hour as you could grinding favor for a loooong time. $7 = 1h McD's = 440 points. 440 points via grinding is 17 hours or so.

That really encourages people to buy points instead of doing the mindnumbingly boring favor dash.

NO, your not wrong asking here, you would get a better response asking your questions here then in the Favor section, and if your a F2P and still can not post else where yet, you would have had no choice but to post here,

was just saying you might find some more info from there, not that you have to post there

yeah there is, you can tell if you can post in the section by looking at the bottom left, it will have something like you may, or You may not
and I think there is a post count you need to reach, to unlock the other section so you May post there , I read in post just below this one where some has been premium for 10 months, and still could only post in the F2P, but while in that discussion, it was unlocked that he could post else where so it was suspected, you also need to make some post to unlock other sections so you May post in them.
But that is guessing, and speculation that one needs a post count to be a certain number.

I had a lot of questions as a F2P, and before I had went VIP, I was able to post on all

I've run with favor grinders in Korthos twice. Both times were hella fun. You have to see the speed to believe it. Feels more like a racing game than an RPG.

well after some testing after posting this i found some posts on it and made some modifications to the 100 point dash
i found a decent way to do it
now this is soloing thies with a favor grinder toon on my good computer and the favor sponge main acccount on a laptop

    Canith crystal
    store house
    haytons rest
    Collaborator
    bring the light
    Info is key
    haverdasher
    durks secret
    garrisons missing pack
    kobalds ringleader
    cartamon warehouse first one normal
    recovering the lost tomb

that nets you 101 favor the only one that give me any trouble is bringing the light the darn dogs seem to beable to get me sometimes
and kobalds ringleader bloodknuckles seems to beable to at times 3shot me... which is annoying..
and the dumblings are a lil slow to respond..XD

but total time to do is about 2 hours a nice sweel aroud harbor when your done with the tomb one you just head back to korths and wait for the sponge again :3

if anyone would like to join me on this lemme know i do this on the aggronason server [ prolly not spelled right ]
when my internet is back up my favor farmer toon has a guild we can punch out some blocks faster than 2 hours im sure..
if my nets woking 100% i wouldent mind doing this when ever for a day .. i mean after i posted this i sat there for 8 hours doing it voer adn over.. so.. i have nothing better to do atm my mains a 7 wizard on another server so when im not doing this im playing that one :3

    ahh, no Sunken sewer ?
that is like 3 minutes to finish, 7-9 Kolbolds, a Boss and 3 scorpions, finished

what kind of build are you using as a favor runner, or was you just dual boxing and having the higher level do the work, and the runner standing at start ?

1st you need to get champion status so you can create 32 pts build and start at level 4. To get it, farm 1st time bonuses from other servers and buy quest packs.

Dwarf barbarian with sprint boost is the best choice. Feats: THF & Toughness

Do quests in this order (remember, u begin at the marketplace):
    1) Sunken Sewer (hard)
    2) Stealthy Repossession (elite)
    3) Kobolds New Ringleader (hard) (note! loot chests so you have 25pp to buy lvl 3 hireling)
    4) Buy the hireling while running to Garrison.
    5) Garrisons' Missing Pack (elite)
    6) Durk's Got a Secret (elite)
    7) Harverdasher (hard)
    7) Bringing the Light (elite)
    8) Information is the Key (elite)
    9) Cannith Crystal (elite)
    10) Store House Secret (elite)
    11) Heyton's Rest (elite)
    12) Collaborator (elite)

    Average time alone: 28 minutes
    Favor: 101

Tip for advanced grinders: Do Sunken Sewer and Kobolds New Ringleader on elite so you can skip Harverdasher.
