Maybe it is just me, but I actually find the half-elf look really quite disturbing.
They definitely have an "Uncanny Valley" thing going on, and they give me the creeps.
And no, this isn't a parody thread. I wish it was, but I'm being sincere.

Those are not pebbles surrounding the urn filled with Human teeth. They are megaliths!
I guess you probably shouldn't buy them then.
there's one thing you never put in a trap if you're smart. If you value your continued existence. If you have any plans on seeing tomorrow then there's one thing you never, ever put in a trap.
But..but...we'll still have to SEE them! Scary thought. Can you imagine emerging from a cold, dark, dungeon, with the blood of the vanquished still caked on your weapons; dust and grime covering every pore of your body as chills dance across your damp skin as you head to the nearest tavern? You burst into the tavern, unclasp your sword belt, motion to the tavern wench for an ale, and, out of the corner of your eye, you see this group of half-elves staring back at you???
OMG, CREEPY!

Well, its time to play the part. There's a creepster in everybunch and now, that creepster can be you. Things you should do now that you have decided to imbrace your own creepiness.
1. Go stand in a tavern, and eye other patons or serving wenches. Who doesn't love a
good creepout.
2. Grab random people and begin to dance - This type of creepiness isn't reserved
for the club anymore!
3. And do think actions speak louder than words, for ultimate creepiness, general chat
could be your venue of choice!
4. Mobility (not the feat) is also your friend. Select a player and decide to follow them.
Public areas, raids, and bonus points if you can get an invite onto their guild ship!
5. Use your imagination. Because nothing is more creepy than a motivated you!
I hope this helps you on your journey to a weirder, creepier you!
Wow!

Yes definately going to start a boyband with all half elf male bards. Now of to find them some pink n purple robes. Seriously though I do also find their looks very badly done.

I think they have a high "Naruto" thing going on with the eyes.
You will give them what they want when they look at you with those eyes.
They are creepy but I love it.
They seem to be Human and Elvish. I think elves are creepy. Humans CAN be creepy. Put those together, and you can only get a creepy new race lol
I think they should put an icon over their heads, pink for female and blue for male... And yes im being honest, its gona be hard to distinguish!
Yes, there are problems with the half elf faces/body. Did you try the eye-flip test?
Go to face customization for Human or Elf and cycle through the eyes really fast, while watching the curve of the lower eyelid. Then do that again for Half-Elf and see the important difference...

What they should look like (if bearded)
Yes that is the one and only Tanis Half-Elven
I will never make one of these creepy current version ones with mascara beards, gah.

I must admit I don't quite get the same impression other users are getting from current h-elves.
Elves from LOTRO gave me a much stronger "pretty-boy" vibe - and they looked finished and well polished.
...
As they are, h-elves just look raw to me. Unfinished.
Sure, they look "un-manly" - but in the same way an inflatable doll would look.
If they had "pretty boy" looks, there would be something pretty about them.
...
Sigh...
What's weird about h-elves is, they don't even look like artists tried tweaking existing models - like they did with h-orcs.
H-elves look more like an afterthought.
Devs had a deadline to meet, PAX, they got into crunch mode, and somebody who didn't have the foggiest idea of what a h-elf was supposed to look like, drew the shortest straw.
If anything, they look more like Tieflings, than h-elves.
I don't really know if they should be delayed.
But they sure could use some more artistic love...
