    Question Splashing monks in U7

Anyone heard about the monks mass heals in U7? Will it be fixed to monk level instead of character level? I'd like to try the Solarphoenix build but if they fix that thing, the build may take a severe hit.

As far as I know it won't be being changed this update, but if it does get changed, the typical phoenix split won't be hurt too much by it, the variants with only 3 monks levels might hurt a good bit though.

Healing Ki: 1d4 healing every 2 monk levels

In practice: 1d4 healing every 2 character levels.

Currently, whenever you use the light-light-light finisher, the healing ki effect is based off of character level, but it might be nerfed to only monk level.

Either way, I didn't see a difference on Llama, but I haven't played my solar phoenix since a day or two after it went up, so it might have been nerfed since then.

Also: Same concept applies to breath of the fire dragon.

Not sure how this is a nerf... I might have misread and saw it as always monk level. If they fix it they are fixing a legitimate bug to the coding of the game.

Ya it wouldn't technically be a nerf, so can't really complain when the boot finally comes down. (Although you could maybe argue to the devs that it encourages some build variance and it isn't exactly OP.

I'v never even seen this is practice.
Maybe my memory is faulty, but my lv 18 BFS build (12 rogue 6 monk) does the same or less healing burst as my lv 8 monk. It might be a LITTLE higher, but i dont remember it being double.

Personaly i think the burst is too **** low in the first place. Would really love it if they boosted it up to around mass cure crit (current hp boost from it is more like a single tick of healing aura. Needs to be closer to 40 damage rather then 20.

As it currently is your BFS should have a healing ki for 9d4 hp healed. Your lvl 8 monk would have 4d4. Your monk may have more amp (monks get improved recovery II at 7th) and theres random rolls to account for. And if they enhance healing ki to heal more, solar phoenixes everywhere will celebrate and run off to solo something ridiculous.
