I Suck at Healing

Hi, Im Eggnor and a cleric 20..
Yeah you've read the title right "ï suck at healing" or at least that's what some folks say

I got bombarded by those words from a bunch of "tells" from characters i dont know last night...
I dont mind if you say it straight to my face but PLEASE...it is annoying when you use ghost characters...

Anyone that has to anon /tell in game is prolly not gonna show face here either.

If the /tells were aggresive or insulting enough, pass em up to the GMs. They can look at the backtrail and maybe see who it was and deal with it. If not...

I strictly only heal now with my healing aura and use sp for other things. Go with it, don't be affected by what others say.

/singed 20 hp every 2 sec is enough...almost as good as self pot healing I suggest dispell magic with the SP bar on party members.

I usually reserve dispel magic for those constantly asking for buffs and give em a nice dispel at the right moment.

hey, don't feel bad - I let MadFloyd die in the Summoning Chamber during the last Delera's Live Event on my level 12 Cleric... but he was nice enough to not tell me I sucked...

to OP. i did the shroud with u today and u did good. u healed ok.

i play a cleric to and its taken me a while to realize its not my fault if the group wipes (mostly).

if u don't have radiant servant u may get grief though. it is very good. recommended for healers.

play how u wont and don't let them get u down. u may not be the best cleric, but they will last longer with u there than if u wer'nt.

best thing to do is look at ddo wiki before a new quest. then u can see what traps/monsters are there. then u know what buffs to give out. death, acid etc.

PS, we are not healers btw. we are clerics. there is a difference.

90% of buffs can be gotten from items ingame. What sickens me the most are the people who SOLELY rely on casters to give those buffs.

You should tell them they suck at DPSing in return. :P

The thing is people won't know the difficulities the healer might have unless they play one. I capped quite a few healers and I completely understand the situation. If you watch the health bars and help people getting fully healed before they go below %20, you're more than fine.

Hi, My name is Marmoth. I'm also a lv20 clerics and I heard that i suck at healing a year ago when this darn game went f2p from a ghost account too.

I realized that some people had too much time to waste and make me left this game for good (nah not really), though, it make me reconcile with real-life and the mystical outdoor. I also reported that ghost account for harassment and never heard of him again. I hope that our gods at Turbine can Ban account from IP/MAC...

Anyway, all that to say that some people doesn't worth time to deal with and you don't need to post about them - you're encouraging them...

Hi I'm Abbadonn, lvl 19 cleric and I too suck at healing. This is my first and only cleric, I rolled him up because I wanted to put the shoe on the other foot so to speak.

When I am told I suck at healing, I usually respond that they "suck at DPS" and should not have needed so much healing to begin with.

The thing is, most PUG groups need you more than you need them. If this is a Guild thing then yeah, you probably suck much as I do.....my Guild always used to remind me as I selectively let them die.

Clerics tend to have long memories, so don't sweat the small stuff. Look at this from the other side, more time to solo quests and ransack for "insert item here".

Hi, my name is Torlist and I'm a level 13 wizard. I also suck at healing.

That said

I've healed for some mostly-warforged parties, and I have a cleric 4 alt. Healing is not easy. I actually rather like helping to keep everyone alive, but I get the feeling that will wear off pretty fast (it started to get old halfway through Kobold Assault).

So, to you clerics, who keep my squishy wizard from backpacking around, who keep my gimp DPS builds on their feet when they get aggro, I salute you.
