    Unhappy R.I.P. Diashanak

After a few days of my friend Diashanak not logging into the game, I went to his wife's facebook page to send her a message to see if he was alright. He has had some severe health problems for awhile and I was just checking to see if he was ok.

I found out that my friend had died Thursday morning due to multiple gunshot wounds he recieved during a domestic dispute at thier home.

I will not be giving out any further details about this event, so do not ask me for them. Either here on the forums or in game.

For those of you who knew Diashanak I'm sorry you have to find this out this way.

He was a good friend, and he will be missed.

I'm very sorry for your loss and offer my condolences to the Sarlona community.

An unfortunate and shocking event, to be sure.

Dia was the bloke who kept me playing this game. I had begin to tire of it until I met him. Through him I established many great friends. We all played on a daily basis for many hours, irrespective of time zone difference.

I know there are many people who will miss him, and I hope that you will hold him in your thoughts and remember him for who he was. For he showed me that the game is played for the people, and without them there is not much points.

    Default Rest in peace mate.

I only had the honor of running with him once in-game, but I remember him standing out among many nameless others I had run with before and since.

He was a great player, and you could tell there was a great person behind it.

I didn't knew Dia well but I have raided with him a lot and I was also curious why he hasn't been online for a while as he was usually there when I check my friends list.

I just hope he is in a better place now.

Daishanak was a great guy and great player. He will be greatly missed. We shared many interests both within DDO and outside the game. I wish I had the chance to have told him this. Dai you will be missed brother. RIP

I read the article, and just suggest perhaps removing the link for a bit. It seems there is some controversy involved, and in all honesty alot of people on these forums really don't need to be reading about his personal life. I hope I typed this right. It's not meant to be trolling.

    Agreed.

Although I never played with him, it's just common courtesy. It's not right to be able to read about stuff that personal, especially with his loss so fresh for the community.

    Please consider removing the link.

    Edit: Thank you.

No problem. Even though him describing the nature of the death is enough to give anyone access to this information. I literally copied and pasted a section of the OP's statement. And its in the front page of goggle, if you wish to censure the information for good; I would suggest the OP change the original statement around a bit. He will be missed definitely, we all have problems and home problems are the worst. He didn't deserve to go out like that.

I first met Diashan when he started playing last year with a fresh new batch of players. As I was leveling up my new character, I had the chance to meet him in a random pug. As someone who was new to the game, he struck me as someone quite nice and enthusiastic, willing to take the time to ensure others were doing well also. I took the time (as I'm sure many others did) to help him with questions he had about quests, character builds, etc. I know he later took what he learned and tried to pass it on as well. Our paths crossed now and again and he was always a pleasure to quest with, a genuinely nice guy. I had just ran into him again about two weeks ago late one night and we BS'd for about 15 minutes, catching up. I hope you finally find peace in the great beyond D.

Condolences to his family and friends.

I have fond memories of pugging with Diashanak. He stood out as a friendly mature player with good communication skills that was both patient and knowledgeable. As such I always looked forward to PUGging with him and will miss the chance to do so.
