In the Back corner of Off Topic Chat is a humble little thread...
It is a thread that many overlook in the hustle and the bustle
of the Trolling, complaints about this "nerf" and that "Nerf..."
and the many "my build is the greatest! And your build is gimped!"
threads... It has persisted quietly... but continuously for many years
And has been attacked on many occasions... for being "annoying" or "pointless" but I challenge anyone
to wander in set for a spell and enjoy the fun, and then say
that they were anything but welcomed with open arms...
It is a Place that welcomes all... so long as you leave the griefing
And the Trolling... at the door...
It is A Place, where a Few like minded fun loving individuals get together
in the true spirit of the forums; to give advice, swap stories, tell
jokes, lend support to each other. Both in game and In real life...
About 4 years ago or so a lost dwarven soul, wandered in
and took it upon himself in true Dwarven fashion... to take up the then
vacant Position
of Bartender... I was instantly welcomed by the folks in that
thread...and in that moment... I found a home.
The Cupcakes Muskateers Thread has long been a mainstay of the Forums
and
I am happy to say has been one of the few threads to persist through a
Number of Forums' thread purges, Server merges; the Shift to Ebberron
Unlimited and free to Play... I am proud to be Able to say that I have
been a part of it.
Cupcake; a Hall of Famer started this Thread With the help of a few
friends about 4 years or so ago... *and it has since become a mainstay
on the forums.
Ironically this is actually the SECOND Cupcakes Muskateers thread.
The first thread Crashed and Burned during a Forums glitch when a lot of
threads got deleted by mistake But they started anew; and I for one...
Am glad they did.
Some would say (And Most doubtedly will when they see this post...)
"well that just means you Spammed the boards you didn't really achieve
anything..."
My response... "Really" Let's think about this...
This thread has persisted for over 4 and a Half Years!
(And that is only since I have been here... I signed on in August 06)
And Nary has a Dev, (or Moderator) journeyed in; except to say Hi and
Chat for a bit.
And several that we know of actually follow and contribute to the
thread.
And it has done so fully within the Rules and Guidelines of the forums.
I think that this is one Heck of an Achievement!
So I would like to take this time to Salute Cupcake
pour her, and ALL Now and Former Muskateers a drink And Say...
Congratulations! On Over 5 Years and 1 MILLION VIEWS!!!!

I can't recall a time when
a modrator has dropped in to chastise us...
We have had the occasional visit to say hello,
and we had one drop in to provide advice...
Surprised us all to find a mod stop in and say hi.
