Which weapon....

Of course we all know the answer Epic Sword of Shadows. I don't have one yet though.

So what to use for the time being.. I have been using Holy Sword (greatsword version). Is there anything better I could be using fighting demons/devils/harry/sulu/etc...

You a WF PLD or Human or Dwarf or elf?

Also I am guessing level 20 Pure PLD for the DR/Good thing?

Humans can use w/e

If you happen to be a dwarf...I would suggest getting a nice GreatAxe.

WF...stick with Holy Sword or make a Lightning Strike weapon on normal (I suggest Falchion if THF)

Human...anything is good.

Elf=Falchion/scimitars

Halfling...iono

Drow...rapiers

If you can find a nice Holy Silver of Greater Evil Outsider Bane that would be nice...but really expensive...and kinda a waste on a PLD.


Some general rules

Min II on a PLD is a waste...

Lightning Strike is best on Normal

DR/ Breaker is best on Hard or Elite

a metalline/silver/flametouched iron of greater bane does about the same damage as the holy sword version all in all. still your to hit might be better if thats needed (epic queen maybe).

Pure WF Paladin level 20

I am seeing some good numbers on smites and divine sacrifices using my holy sword the first number on

Smite is around 480-520
Divine is around 190-220

Then I have all the other numbers after it, I took the KOC route, and am just waiting to get my KOC ring. The other ring set I have is Shinto for the +2 to hit/ +2 to damage.

Im just looking for any good advice, or something to triger the "ah ha" moment... Only reason I am looking to do more
damage is to take down enemy's faster, I really don't care about KC as I know the mass damage I can inflict on evil outsiders helps the party more.

imo the real "ah ha" moment won't come on a *2 weapon
your numbers sound about as good as it gets on any greatsword however. the holy sword versions are pretty close to a mineral II weapon anyway. might wanna try a greataxe or maul to see smite crits above 600.
