Default The Next step in Half-Orc Evolution?

Half-Orcs in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons

Half-Orcs removed as a core race in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd edition so here is a full-blooded orc from the three-ring binder Monster Manual:

    Half-Orcs in Dungeons & Dragons 3.0

    Half-Orcs in Dungeons & Dragons 4.0

As time passed, people learned how to draw and paint.

But re-introduced in one of the plethora of 2nd ed optional books, The Complete Humanoids.

Yep. Although the "like something out of an actual medieval text" look some of the art had, had its charms.

The AD&D races pic above is just plain campy, though.

The first half orc kind of looks like Gerald Ford.

    Also a topic I enjoy.

They had a similar evolution from less human-like to more bestial!

But none of them look to be disproportionally top heavy like our Half orcs.

Also- are half Orcs supposed to be big now? Only time I've ever played tehm was way back during AD&D, and (iirc) they were a little smaller than humans. (As the picture shows)

I was hoping they were actually going to let us shape their torsos.
City of Heroes has one of the best character creations in that every detail about the body could be adjusted.

I would like to be able to make a slim, sneaky, half-orc as well as a muscle-bound monsterous one.

    The 3.0 Half-Orcs are pretty top-heavy Khurse.

... but it's so much easier to just copy and paste the human legs, and the dwarf upper body!!!
