I really want to edit my UI....

I really really really want to make some very simple UI art changes, like removing some of the excess border around the Primary action bar, the spiky things around the Target Window, taking a few pixels off of the action bars in general. This is very simple stuff to do... if it were just an image that i could open in photo shop.

problem is i have NO IDEA how to find and open the art so that i can edit it. Is there an easy way to do this? i know absolutely nothing about programming but i am a professional with photoshop.... is there any way to open these UI arts so i can make simple edits? ive looked at so called guides but i just dont get it.

Can i just open them up and edit the graphic in Photoshop, save it, than have it be that way in game?

I don't know about making custom user skins, I'm not that ambitious.

I know you can download and install pre-made skins. Try Fade2black or DDOLite, you make like what they have.

Pretty much.

Those guides are more on the programing end of things which it doesn't sound like you'll need since you just want to make small changes for personal use.

Tip: If you want to trim borders, etc. you can't just crop the image, you have to alter the alpha channel. Maybe you knew that, but I didn't when I started
