It's done willfully. As in, with their consent.

Buy your own wandz and scrolls sheesh! Some people will never get it will they?
I have no problem with this as I'm always well-stocked, except for those rare occasions when I fail to check up on my inventory before entering a quest. This would mainly be done to help the lower levels; Tzzn gave us a really nice example. Also, correct spelling and grammar go a long way and people will take you more seriously.

I see this being of most use in the Hound of Xoriat raid. In fact, it might have been enough to salvage a failed elite run last night (a ranger had charm stones numbers 5 and 6 in hand and was killed with Xy'zzy at ~26-27%, five seconds with a dog on her would probably have been enough to get Xy'zzy to 25% and vulnerability).
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

Sorry but there are just too many abuses of this system :/ like a dead fighter trading all of their healing potions to their friend or trading a rez scroll they found over to the cleric.

Dead means dead, you don't get to support your teammates at all when you die.
Um your dead but whats to stop your companions or anyone who happens by from rummaging in your backpack and taking things out? Sorry I dont really see the logic in what you said?

the logic is, unless your companions can rummage through and keep anything and everything they find, there is no logic in trading while dead.

I pug alot, so been part of quite a few runs that went pear-shaped and the only guy left was a cleric with no mana. Trading a spare pot would help in that type of situation as well.
