more starter weapons

recently I bought vet status and I have been making all sorts of builds using falcions, bastard swords and such.
problem is they arent immediatly available. meaning that I have to go out and buy form the ah weps to try out my builds.
why cant we get starter khopeshes and such?
it seems rather odd to me.
and why does teh collab handwraps only do 1d4 dmg rather than 1d6?

I thought it would mostly help new builds and help people judge how well the build would work with their chosen kind of whep.

What exactly are you looking for?

There are places to buy +1 Weapons, such as a Vendor in House D. Its not a pawn broker, so it always has static items. Are you hoping for some special prefix/suffix?

The weapons you get from Veteran status are +1 flaming. I think this is what he wants.

Unless I have a better twink item, I'll use mine till lvl 10.

Maybe something else for DR on occasion but they are decent enough till lvl 10.

Edit forgot to mention...

It would be nice to see some frost or acid stuff instead of just flaming weapons.

I don't care so much about a particular type, just something other than flaming.

the main prob is that when I go into quests with pug's using kpesh's and bastards I am often left with constant askings of wheres your kpesh? or wheres your daxe?
And another prob is throwing wheps. none to start with therefore throwing build require a lot of tedious selsction for something pretty minor

I have a few others for other dr but as a general purpose, the starter works.

I don't spend much on weapons for below lvl 10 unless there is something very specific that I'm looking for and I'll not be under lvl 10 that long.

Really, I'll use quite a bit of starter gear untill around lvl 10.

Im sure the fire elementals in tempest spine are impressed with your +1 1d6 fire weapon. isnt it a little early to find out if a build is going to work at these levels? Some builds dont hit their straps till mid level ect.

Like I stated after the post you quoted, I have a few other weapons for DR and such but for a general purpose weapon I'll use my fire weapon.

Against fire creatures I'll use my acid. Typically, before lvl 10, I'll have my starter, an acid, and a weapon that has some kind of good alignment property, something for rusties and ozes which will typically be a muckbane or two unless I score an everbright. If I score a icy weapon that I can use, I'll pack it also. I wore out my Frostbrand and haven't another icy two hander and haven't looted another. I don't like to buy gear off the AH because it is too much for that stuff.

My current lowbee has only the starter flaming greataxe and a acid everbright maul. Haven't scored a coldtouched iron or holy weapon yet. The acid everbright was passed on from another character. I have several pure goods but I keep making neutral...I forget that I need to use a good propertiy...because I'm used to being able to UMD stuff so I don't think about alignment too much until I have that D'oh moment.

Other than fire creatures, the fire weapons you get work fine for general purpose.

I also tend to be a minimalist when carrying weapons and will work with what I have.

No one needs to actually buy gear before lvl 10 and should really only worry about consumables. I didn't with my first character to 20(I did reroll several characters but they all had starter gear so I couldn't pass that stuff on and didn't get enough plat to be able to buy anything.) I used what I had and only bought consumables. If a weapon that I could use...something in my feat list...even if it wasn't the "ideal" weapon for my character, I used it. If a holy sickle dropped and I needed some kind of good alignment weapon, I grabbed it until something else better came along.

The game overall gives you what you need, you just have to get past the want for uber.

So whats stopping you from buying one from the MANY vendors in game??? Go to the marketplace and buy one from the weapons vendor there, or house D. Or are you looking for everything to be handed to you on a platter?

Because medium sized creatures do 1d4 damage with an unarmed strike. 1d6 and higher damage categories are only available for monks in DDO.

You still get whatever boni that are on the handwraps, just your base damage is stuck at 1d4 if you are not a monk.
