Default Delera's Graveyard Live Event Feedback

The development team and I would like to thank everyone who attended the Live Event Preview in Delera's Graveyard on September 30th. It was a great showing, and we all had a great time.

We are very interested in your feedback on the event and have prepared a survey feedback form we'd like you to fill out. It should take less than 10 minutes to fill out, depending on how many comments you want to make.

Please take a few minutes to fill out this survey and let us know how you really felt about the event.

The survey will automatically close at Midnight on Sunday, October 4th.

I'd still like to know how to use Vampire Fangs... The Night Collector kept saying he/it didn't want them.

Oh yeah... survey! I'll fill it out now.

First....I loved the event...the graphics and the sound effects are awesome....I loved the evil cackles went some of the spawns appeared. The "addition" to Delera's graveyard was very well integrated and seamless.

I never had any isses with performance..not even when there were TONS of spawns. Honestly it was probably spawning a bit slow initially....the level right before the first try at the dracholich seemed pretty decent.

    Couple of suggestions for improvement:

    1) If there is a way to make the graveyard itself level based, like the dracholich quest, it would be amazing.

    2) Make the collectible drops like all other collectile drops...in a treasure bag...the tagging mechanism makes it doubly hard to actually get a collectible....a low level may be the first to hit a mob, then a level 18 cleric goes by and his positive energy burst and wham...dead mob, with a lessened chance for either person to get a drop.

    3) Let the coffee be sold by the vendor for platinum as well as from the store

    4) Make something else for him to trade like "self-repairing lute strings" so that bard songs will regenerate as well without them having to leave the graveyard to regen.

    5) If there was a way to let the spawn rate vary with the number of people in the graveyard it would be huge....more people, more spawns, less people, less spawns---dont know if the tech can do that however.

    Gotcha, thanks.
When I asked during the event - a Dev (forget whom) said to give them to the Night Collector... and I was a bit perplexed why I was told it doesn't want them. It's even in Joe's dialog that the NC would take em, I think - adding to my confusion.

    Arrow Disappointed,

not in the event itself. Because I never made it in, although I tried hard over the course of two days to get prepared. I realize mine is an individual issue of circumstance. But, the inordinate size of the download, and the following 3000+ patches made it impossible for me to join the soiree. The hour that it took to install was nerve grinding-ly slow in extraction. I'm not anticipating pity in speaking to this, nor any resolution particularly. I just wanted to make known my certain situation. The volume of data needed would have been fine if I were one of the lucky people who happen to have a home and any standard internet service. Since I am not is there any way to address the issue of a time consuming, arduous task of participation? I know Turbine attempted to create a method with the TDM, allowing bits and pieces to dl'd while being utilized. I think the TDM was a step in the correct direction, it may want to be explored further.
Honestly the only reason I am so miffed with it is I had finally gotten the entire download, 4.4 gig's roughly(Which by the way would have filled my monthly data limit practically, of 5gig). It was 4:30'ish and I was thinking, 'Finally! I missed the beginning of the event but I'll still be there.'. My first attempt to login created a null exception error and locked up. Close the client. Relaunch the game. Invalid something-another. Restart the computer and relaunch the client. Find out there is 3000+ baby alien patches waiting behind the hair wrenching experience that preceded this one. And WHY, WHY, WHY!?? Did you force the installer to put a 2005 ver. of Direct X on my pc, when I had a perfectly good one already? Which then drew down 18meg for the one it just overwrote. That is where I was just incensed and when I saw the 3000+ mini-patches I gave up. By then it was already late and I couldn't spend anymore time with it. I really really wanted to fiddle around in the game last night, and pretty much ruined the rest of it for me instead.
    Ba-whaa, I know.

I understand your frustration. The current Lamannia installer is older than we are happy with and we hope to have a new one ready soon. We tried to get it ready for the event, but that wasn't possible for several reason. I hope to have a new one available for everyone very soon.

    Great fun in the graveyard.

I agree that it should be level based when you go in just like the dragon.

Spawn rate was too slow in beginning and got better as you turned it up. At the end when you turned it to max it was a blast 10-12 spawns in one place made it exciting and fun.

Coffee should be offered for plat too.

The kill stealing is an issue. As a cleric I would damage multiple mobs but not get credit for any kills thus not getting and collectables. Not sure dropping bags is a solution look what happened when the tent blew up, that was a fiasco with people zipping by and grabbing everything in sight and not killing anything.

The area is great kudos on a good job.

I think the pumpkins should be able to be smashed and respawn for collectables too.
What's not to like about smashing pumpkins on Halloween.

Excellent job on the dragon, not to difficult to figure out, only thing I worry about is once people are done getting there items finished there wont be enough to run the dragon since minimum needed is 16. Maybe dragon HP is based on how many zone in?

I really had alot of fun.

I loved the event and thought it was a huge success. I think some classes may have more of an issue with kill stealing than others, also depending on level, but for the most part I was killing enough stuff that the occasional kill steal was taken in stride.

Let me just say that as a level 20 radiant servant cleric I'm well prepared for the event. Used Radiant aura to grab aggro in a group of undead to trigger their attack then followed up with either mass heal, cometfall or radiant blast. Pretty much a one-two punch for ingredients.

I am curious to know exactly how many people are in each instance of part 2. Someone on voice chat had mentioned they thought it was 24, but the actual numbers in the instance seemed higher than that.

My only suggestion would be to create a way to crunch all of your collectibles at once to prevent having to click Trade over and over to get motes and unlock part 2.

Well time to put in my 2 copper:

The Event itself was an absolute BLAST! Really had fun but a few changes would make it better.

    1. Make the event level based, just like the Spectral Dragon fight.

    2. spawn rate was a little slow, even at the end of the event the spawn rate was still small. a faster spawn rate would fix that problem.

    3. buy the coffee with plat.

    4. a few bugs inside the summoning chamber, got booted out 3 times and lost those keys that i bought. I walk in, take a few steps inside and was thrown out minus 1 key.

    5. collectable drops via bag instead of killin the mob.

even tho these fixes are already stated eariler, it will make this event more fun for all.

    The Good

    1. the event was fun
    2. The loot turn in mechanism is great and shoudl be adapted to all special event tech
    3. The end boss fight is interesting and the dragon looks awesome
    4. The theme is great and well done

    The Bad

1.Depending on mob concentration there was rampant instance jumping, the more mobs that spawned the less people were inclined to jump and basically killsteal
2.low level players could easily be shut out and or face mobs way more poweful than they could handle
3.the coffee needs to scale with lvl, or we need a shrine or bar area at the entrance for casters as a lot mana is wasted due to the fact that the mobs cannot be targeted until aggro is established
4.the chamber event was little confusing in that no indication was given by the dm that no more than 11 could be in one single room etc.

The frequency of the event is going to determine how much fun lower level players will have. If you run it like last night as a timed one time thing you will have lvl 20's sarmthe place and low level players will be shut out, keep the graveyard constantly spawning and people won't be so pressured to run in and flood the place and you will have a steady flow of players in and out with lower level players having a much better chance at getting some loot.
