    Default Scroll & Shield question

I'm wondering if holding a scroll while using a shield affects AC in any way.

While using a shield, the 'poised' animation after just having used a scroll (or having auto-attack on) is very similar to the animation when actively holding down block.

Using a scroll while blocking puts me out of blocking mode, but the two animations are so similar that when I release the blocking key and reapply it, my toon sort of twitches and the angle of the shield changes slightly.

In both cases the shield is tilted diagonally back and doesn't look very convincing as a form of protection.

The reason I ask is because I seem to get hit a lot more often when blocking while holding a scroll rather than a weapon.

    So I have two questions.

    1. Does the shield bonus still apply to AC when holding a scroll in the main hand?

    2. Does the blocking bonus still apply when blocking with a shield, while holding a scroll in the main hand?
