    Default What Laptop to buy?

So basically, after years of enduring 'Water Effects Off' and 'Graphics Quality Low' I decided to get a new laptop. The old one is nice but it just didn't meet my requirements. I've got my eye on three laptops so far.

    The Asus G37Jh for about $1700 http://rog.asus.com/Product.aspx?PId=32
    The Alienware Mx15 for about $2500 http://www.alienware.com/Landings/promotions.aspx
The Origin Eon 17 for about $3000+++ http://www.originpc.com/eon17-gaming...p-features.asp

Judging by reviews and such, I'm leaning towards the Asus because of the sheer power vs cost it offers. If there's an overwhelming reason why I should go for the Mx15, I might change my opinion.

Yes, I'm aware of how amazing the Eon 17 is, I probably can't afford the price unfortunately (and it's up there as a wishlist).

I'll be using this laptop for DDO, HD Movies, Maya 3D software, etc so I'll need the best affordable laptop.

So what do you guys think? If there are any other laptops you can recommend, I'd take a look as well. Suggestions are welcomed.

EDIT: Budget is roughly $2000 give or take $500 (Absolutely nothing more than $3000 pls)

Alienware is nothing but the name.

Get the ASUS and you'll be a happy happy man.

    Cool

ASUS is the best value..will easily handle what DDO has to offer as well as most any other game.

Alienware is over-rated, but has cool lights and stuff! I wouldn't "probe to deeply" into purchasing this IMO.

Origin set ups are sweet, but very pricey..I would rather buy the ASUS and have some cash left over for Turbine Points

    Good Luck!

You might check www.delloutlet.com for a better deal on the Alienware. I have bought 3 laptops and 2 desktops from the outlet and haven't had any problems. They are returns, minor blemish, or canceled orders usually. You can save a few hundred bucks that way. As to which to get, I am indifferent. I am all about saving $$$. Good luck!

Asus it is. I'd still like to hear comments from others though before doing the purchase (and I have all weekend to change my mind).
