Is it "Groundhog Day" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groundhog_Day_(film) ) again? I could swear that at least every other week (on any MMORPG forum or game forum) or so this kind of topic pops up.

This must have been answered a bilion times by now. ,)

I play mostly males. My main though, is a female cleric. She is a DDO version of my old SWG main. The only reason she was female was because I created the character with my wife. I started playing with her just to get a feel for the game and go so far in I didn't want to reroll. So, I decided to bring her back to life. The female/cleric thing for me is just a coincidense. I wanted to roll a cleric. My other toons are all male representing myself, my son, and my son again as a different class. My WF is named after his inspiration, a can of Dr. Pepper.

Where's the guy that posted that pic last time this topic came up?
The one with "MMORPG.....Many Men Online Roleplaying as Girls".
    Funny stuff.

Several reasons to play females in general:
    1. Most enemies are male. So if you're getting hurt, female ouchies are more discernable from the background noise. If an enemy is casting, you can differentiate it from your own casting noise, etc. It helps.
    2. Female models are relatively smaller than the male models (especially in the broadness of the shoulders), and thus block less of the screen during action.
    3. They just look sleeker and better in general. Male models look like Ford trucks, female models look like Ferraris. The horsepower might be similar but I'd rather drive a Ferrari than a sport truck.

I have to laugh at all the dudes who promptly had to go wash their hands after discovering that Metroid's Samus Aran was in fact a girl.

Or if you only play with your guild or people you know or with pugs, or you do everything zerg and slow play with pugs as well with your guild all of this helps in telling of how you are in real life.
Okay then. If I zerg, what does that say about the person behind the keyboard? What does it say about me if I take quests slowly and carefully? Because I do both, depending on the circumstances.

I play with my guild, and I PUG. That means in real life I am... ?

I probably have an even balance of melee toons and caster toons. I've endeavored to try out every class and every race (and every gender). What does that tell you about me?

Many of my toons are probably a little light in CON. That means in real life I... ?

Sorry, Jakarr. Your opinion is that you can assess RL qualities in a person through what they do in a game. While that may be partially true (generously offering binding loot items in a chest to party members = RL generosity? Maybe...maybe not...), my opinion is that you cannot. I believe that you and I are going to have to agree to disagree.

Still, I'd be curious to see your RL assessment of me based on my in game styles noted above.
Jakarr, did you miss this message in the thread? Or, did you decide to not share your assessment of what I'm like in real life? Cause, I am still curious...

Even if I would do an assessment of you I am sure we would have to agree to disagree as you put it, so not even going to waste my time.

Because I will never get laid in real life and I want to dream of it.

PS. I also have sexual perversions. (as posted below)

lol i bet a ton of guys playing female toons are full of ...... when they try to give legitimate excuses as to why. In reality most guys pervs lol and enjoy entertaining the idea of being a girl and what they would do if that was the case....

I am doing a Ninja Spy 2 monk/rogue build and the character is female.... it just is, not because of the name... in fact I'm having a hard time deciding between a couple of those and most of the candidates are non gender...ish. Problem is I hate typing and always use the mic... I don't care if I'm the only one in the group, I always use the mic simple due to not wanting to stop, insert cursor in chat box, type, fix typos and all the while trying to run or avoid stuff..

This thread has made me seriously consider at least for a moment or two if I really want to play a character that is female under those circumstances... it's like Oh... wait... I dunno now, maybe I can roll the character as a male like all my other alts... what if people find my male voice with female toon wierd, or uncomfortable... and then I was like; ah screw um, the character is female it just is... Not because I like staring at polygonal butts (not that there's anything wrong with that) or am fixated on running female toons to get attention or be pushy, and certainly not due to any confusion or rl issues, lol...

Anyway if you have occasion to run with a female human ninja spy high performing gimp flavor toon (Trap monkey) on Thelanis and some gravely 40 year old ex smoker guy voice starts talkin at you, don't hit on me yah pervs.

TRANSGAMER = A male that plays a female toon in a video game. Enjoys playing the game as a woman because
a male toon would not feel comfortable.

lMMO = Lonely Male M*****b***r Online. A male that plays a female toon in an MMO game because he like to stare
at the backend of a female toon.

Heh, that and the fact that they sound like they're vomitting when they're hit. Not that I'm against that, I get a chuckle each time I hear it - just don't want to hear it constantly.

I have nine or ten toons (depends on my mood - I like to kill and create lowbies on a regular basis) of which two are female. Yes, I like the way female elf ass looks. Is that creepy? I hope so - truth be told, I rather like the idea of making other peoples' skin crawl over toon gender.

    So there, nyah. :P

I have two female toons but what I really want to be, deep down, is a sentient car that eats small children, puppies and German tourists.

    ah... some funny funny comments...

    how's this for weird....

i have 2 male human characters in amongst all my toons... my other males are WF and dwarves. and that's ok because dwarves and robots are cute. but for some reason these two male human characters annoy me and for a long time i couldn't work out why. one is my hagglebot, the other is a caster i just dual leveled so idc if i never do anything with him (14 sitting on almost 16).

i think it's because i'm a female who likes a guy to be independant and be able to do things for himself. yes, i know there is no logic in this... but it irritates me having to navigate this little avatar to do *everything* for himself. it's like, i'm not your mother, go and fw those trolls for yourself!

yeah... i said it wasn't logical.

I'm a guy who has almost entirely male characters, although the warforged defaulting to female almost caught me. I'd rather watch male (or even dwarven) butt all day than endure the overdone sashay of most female characters.

The female halfling battle squeaks are simply adorable though. That's why my only female character is a level 4 halfling monk.
