Talking Epic Tokens for LR Hearts please.

I think its great being able to buy a TR heart for Epic quest tokens, Something I also would like to see is to be able to buy LR or the (+1, +3, +5) Hearts in the same way. I don’t care about the cost via Epic Tokens I would just say keep it at 20 for any of them.

    Thanks.

    5 for lesser, 6 for lesser +1, 8 for lesser +3, 10 for lesser +5, 10 for greater, 11 for greater +1, 13 for greater +3, 15 for greater +5, 20 for true heart.

    Hows that sound?

It might also retain customers that might otherwise leave because a patch has forced a redo of their favorite character in a game with a very high cost to make character changes.

I agree that *something* like this would be a good idea, but I don't think that epic tokens would be the solution. The Epics are for level capped toons, whereas both LR and GR can be used at very low levels. And those without the desire or ability or even just the level-capped toons to run the Epics shouldn't be shut out of whichever solution.

Last time this came up, my own suggestion was that when Druids are introduced, some sort of Plane of Lammania or House J questing could provide slivers of wood or something, that could be crafted into Hearts of Wood -- as a thematically appropriate means of providing an in-game method for obtaining them. I suppose they could even be provided in the new low level Chronoscope raid...

The grind would still need to be a long hard slog nevertheless, so as not to discourage sales via DDO Store

This has a lot of merit, and follows along the right path. Thanks for the good input.

There should definitely be some way to earn them in game even if it means buying a new adventure pack

These are apparently going to start dropping in the random chest loot. BtA versions perhaps? Lamannia release notes FTW:

It is now possible for certain eStore items to drop from random treasure, including XP potions, guild XP potions, loot bonus potions, and even hearts of wood.

They should restore the use of Siberys dragon shards for Feat Respecs - remember back when you had to hit the altar 10 times to convert a stack of 1000 fragments into 10 Flawed shards?

Everyone complained that it was too much clicking, so Turbine changed it to convert the 1000 into a stack of 10 with a single click... and then created 2 more levels so that you'd have to click 100 times more for each Flawless you made.

They should make Siberys dragon shards usable for Feat respecs, just as they were long ago. Then, allow turning in an Exceptional for an LR+1, 5 Exceptional for an LR+3, and a Flawless for an LR+5.

Sure, you could save shards by turning in 5 Exceptional for 5 LR+1, but with a week inbetween only the ultra-cheap would do it.

I would spend (and have spent) real life money to get a convenience, but as long as I feel like Turbine is manipulating the game to force me to spend money on respec (by making the LR hearts only available in the store), it becomes a matter of principle to not spend money on respecs.

Why would I want to encourage them to keep messing up my build concepts?

Supposedly, Bloodstones and Baubles drop in chest loot too - or so the rumor has it.

But the key difference is: Bloodstones and Baubles only drop out of 3 and 1 chests respectively in the entire game; whereas those other items will likely have a shot to drop in almost every chest in the entire game
