WHy cant I make a vet character

I have a level 20 character that I copied over form Argonessen and it says I unlocked vet status, but when i go to make a new character it doesnt let me make a vet it just goes strait to Korthos. I gained Drow just from copying him over so why don't I have Vet. Does it not work the same?

No, it doesn't -- you actually need to unlock it on Llama-land. Same for the ability to create 32-point characters AFAIK.

You can do this either by copying another toon, having as close as possible to 1.000 favour points and then grinding up past the 1.000 threshold -- or just go and grab some free Llama Points (1.000/day while it lasts) from Lord Poincelot in the harbour, and buy the heavily discounted Veteran status from the Llama Store

I would personally recommend the Store solution for both Veteran and 32-pointers

I copied over 2 toons with over 2000 favor each. I also can't use vet status for creating, but I do have access to my 32 point build. I talked to Nyx on Lammania to make sure everything was working right.

Interestingly enough, I have favored soul access without 2500 favor on either toon, but I purchased it on the live server. It might be a bug that we dont get acces to vet status without purchasing it.

Just talk to the drow in harbor... that worked for me.

I had the same problem. I moved over my character with over 1000 favor, talked to Nyx, and I couldn't unlock vet status. I couldn't buy it from the store in-game.
The only thing that worked for me was to buy it from the character creation screen.

wonder if it matters where you are. i logged on a char with under 1000 favor but over 400 and unlocked drow, then logged on a toon with about 1400 favor and unlocked vet, then logged on a toon with over 1750 favor and unlocked 32pt builds, i did it in this order (coincidentally) but my lvl 20 drow was playable, made a new half-orc and he was 32pts and on the boat so it all worked out nicely.... however i didnt get any TP from the guy when i talked to him so i cant buy anything from the store /cry

Anything you paid cash money for is available across all servers. That includes the Alpaca server. Anything you unlocked will have to be unlockd again, or bought with the points you get for free.

You can only unlock it on Alpaca if you never talked to the NPC with that character. If you did, that character is flagged and cant be used to unlock it after a transfer to any server.

I did not buy drow and I gained access to it just by copying a character over. Glitch maybe?

I copied a single character that had a little under 3000 favor. Didn't talk to Nyx. Never bought these options in the store.

-Drow was unlocked.
-Veteran wasn't.
-32 pts was.

(Didn't checked for fvs)

So, not sure if it's supposed to transfer our rewards or not, but either way something isn't working right.

Sadly I think the vet status when copied over is the only buged FP transfer. If you want this go see Sir Poincealot (hes under the harbor bridge two cliff edges down by the airships) and talk to him once every 24 hours. You then will have enough TP to buy Vet (and make one) on Lama-land. NOTE: it is stated these points only work on Lamannia and does not count for your live server. Goes for the same when you buy something from the ddo store.
