Shouldn't it be be Harry/Sally/Horo Elite or does that not give the right answer?

best part of thread.
he made this thread for me as a favor. if ya dont agree with the gear setup up , then build your barb your own way. i have or have the ability to have all the weapons in question and i wanted to make sure so i didnt have to lesser and change base stats around later on. and 74 will be the sustainable str not 68.
as far as madstone. i have 4 pairs. you dont need to wear them full time to get all you need from them. activate clickie, wait for 2nd to proc then swap out for the abish set for the extra +3 str.
as far as the litany, in only one gear setup was i even gonna bother with it and that was deathnips. and then it was only for the 1 damage not the attribute +1s.
as a side note ill have 765 hp with 1 madstone and 805 hp with 2 madstones. so dont really need the extra 2 con on ring.
Lightning Strike 2.5% chance to proc for 550-650 damage, average = 600 | 600 * .025/20 = 15
I remember this being the case for lit II, anyone feel free to correct me.
I wouldn't mind seeing Min II and Lit II calcs for Greataxe, Falchion, And Greatswords if you have the time, would help anyone deciding to tr into a half orc or what weapon to use before you get your epic sos.

I don't know that anyone knows the exact proc rate for LS, only observations that it's around 2%. A small percentage change makes a big difference in how it performs, so those numbers would have a larger margin for error.
I'm interested in seeing some Epic Antique Greataxe numbers, and maybe Epic Hellstroke, just to see how they stack up.

I'd be curious to see which style does more damage with similar weapons (ie Mineral II 2-hander vs. 2 Min II 1-handers), since we already know that no weapon compares to the ESoS.

Are there any capped half-orcs on Llamaland who would be so kind as to post some attack speed data? (Post-THF change, please.)

Just trying to work thru these numbers. Given 2-14 is 65%, 15-18 is 20% and 19-20 is 10%, total 95%.
Situation 1 above: 179.125 * .65 + ( [440.125 *.20 + 816.625 *.10 ] * .50 + [ 179.125 * (.2 +.1) ] * .5) = 179.125 * (.65 + .15) + 440.125 *.10 + 816.625 *.05 = 228.14 per swing.
Situation 2 above: 170.375 * .65 + 431.375 * .20 + 807.875 * .10 = 277.81 per swing.
What have I missed?
Also if you are tanking Horoth in TOD. I'm assuming you should factor -2 STR. Switching from Epic Corrosion Boots to Anchoring, but keeping litany bonus.

Can anyone help me out and break this down into sources? I think I got most of them figured out but I'm missing 8 damage somewhere... specifically I'm looking at the non-critical damage that is underlined and bolded
Here's how I broke it down and somehow I still left out 8 damage, also where does the +1 term to the frenzy/death frenzy come from?Style 2: Epic Sword of Shadows, Epic Marilith Chain, Litany of the Dead
Situation 1: DR 15, 50% Fortification, Acid Resistance 20 (Suulomades, Arraetrikos & Horoth; normal)
Average Damage Per Second: 396.250
Glancing Blows: 0.75 * [0.6 * (5d6 + 43 + 22 + 10 + 4 + 8 + 9 + 1 + 1) + 0.2 * (1) + (4d6 + 2d6) -15] = 56.625 damage
(2-14) Non-critical: (5d6 + 43 + 22 + 10 + 4 + 8 + 9 + 1 + 1) + (4d6 + 2d6 + 1) - 15 + glancing blow = 179.125 damage
(15-18) Critical (x3): 3 * (5d6 + 43 + 22 + 10 + 4 + 8 + 9 + 1 + 1 + 10) + (4d6 + 2d6 + 1) - 15 + glancing blow = 440.125 damage
(19-20) Super-Critical (x6): 6 * (5d6 + 43 + 22 + 10 + 4 + 8 + 9 + 1 + 1 + 10) + (4d6 + 2d6 + 1) - 15 + glancing blow = 816.625 damage

So mediocresurgeon comes out to 5d6 + 98 damage without including glancing blows, frenzies, whereas i come out to 5d6 + 90... can anyone spot the error?
No Damage Boost. When Damage Boost was a flat +, you did less overall damage by activating it. Now that it's a % bonus (and you can interrupt the global inactivity timer), it makes sense to use, but the post you're quoting is from before that change.
Force Damage is in the "not multiplied by critical" section with Frenzy and Death Frenzy.
My guess is:
5d6 - weapon damage
43 - Str mod * 1.5
22 - Power Attack
10 - enhancement bonus
4 - OMD
8 - Claw + Shintao + FB
9 - Inspire Courage
1 - Prayer
1 - LotD (separate from other gear because it is specific to this setup)
I thought epic mirage was the best weapon
thanks for breaking it down for me. however your post did raise a question regarding the damage boost of *1.25 at tier IV, which is stated as a bonus to "weapon damage."
1) Does barbarian damage boost IV apply to base weapon damage only? i.e. does the 1.25 multiplier only affect the 5d6 of an esos? does it not affect the +10 enhancement bonus of esos at all? The description states it modifies "weapon damage", however glancing blows also modify "weapon damage" and according to the OP's calculations (specifically where he put the 0.6 modifier) this applies to ALL non-frenzy, non-force ritual damage. I guess this is really a two-part question, what does damage boost IV modify, and what does glancing blow % modify?
2) Does vicious damage from frenzy/deathless frenzy still proc 100% on glancing blows?

Welcome!Damage Boost applies to all physical damage including sneak attack, so 5d6 + 98 in this case. Glancing blows use the same base but cannot generate sneak attacks.however your post did raise a question regarding the damage boost of *1.25 at tier IV, which is stated as a bonus to "weapon damage."
