Jesus saves but only Buddha makes incremental backups.
I think its great Pallys got a little love, I felt the've been overlooked. But I mostly solo on my Pally so have not pumped intim since I don't really want to be a party tank. Did that in another MMO, no fun. Don't really like the idea of an MMO "requiring" such specific roles firmly anyway (We need 3 dps, 1 tank, 2 healers, or we cant go.)
Please correct me if I've overlooked something obvious...
why would you assume this? or is this how it has worked in similar situations in the past? I think it would be logical that the paladin that has already invested x number of skill points in that skill should get the correct, adjusted intimidate because it should know how many skill points were spent on a given skill and apply a cross class penalty.
if this is not the case, then at the next level up, won't it look at the number of skill points spent to determine how many you have left to spend? I know that using a lesser wood or such will keep track of what class was taken at what level, so they have the means to simply make this work as it should.
Well it's not obvious, and I get people laughing at me because I say that my Paladin is a DPS Tank, but with a 72 Raid Buffed AC, 65 Self buffed, and now having intimidate, all while TWF, I do a pretty good job. Once I get a bit more gear it will be at a 77/70... Not AMAZING, but it's pretty decent IMO...
I am able to hold aggro of bosses pretty easily because of my TWF DPS, and I only have 565 HP ATM without rage or anything like that, but I'll have 585 once I'm done with my GS.
It's a tricky and Gear intensive build, but it's fun and useful to play.

Just to verify, since I don't have the time to get on Lamannia right now, but paladins have the enhancements to improve Intimidate, yes?
Yes, they do.
