I actually have a monk on the live servers that I was playing this weekend. We four manned Garamol in the Subterrane (yeah, yeah, I know, big deal) and I got my Icy Raiments on the second try*,

* I've got unbelievable luck with drops for my monk. I also got my Devouts the first run.. .

So Eladrin, in showing he(or she)'s is "in touch" with the common player posts *%$@ like this.

"Oh yeah, your light monk has been in Shadow Crypt 20+ times and never seen them?It took your Dark Monk 35 runs? Weird, I had to run it once. It was a bit of a pain, but I figured running Shadow Crypt one time for the only decent pair of named handwraps was worth the effort"

I'm pretty sure I hate him or her.
Seriously what's the next post? Grabbed all three Monk TOD rings your first time in Tower?

I remember in EVE Online a developer was a 'general' player. Then one day he used his admin powers to give his alliance access to 'uber' blue prints [used to manufacture in game items] which allowed them to amass millions of in game resources.

It was only found out after a player found it out, many were not amazed that key individuals used their access to admin tools to help them and their alliance in game.

A real shame it was.

I gave up devouts when I pulled metalline HW and had my TOD ring with Holy on it.

My barbarian got his encrusted ring on his first time in ToD.

My rogue tempest got his ravager ring on his first time in ToD.

Sadly, though, that's about it -- no Kyosho, no dragontouched, bloodstones were from the AH, etc. My 20th shroud was a full list of +2 tomes.

my best day was when I logged in, decided to solo desert and pulled firestorm greaves. Feeling lucky, I decided to see what I could get in inspired quarter and on my first run there I got an eardweller. This was in the space of 15-20 minutes

Pally got his KOTC ring first time
Monk got the Ninja Ring 4th or 5th time (so that's not bad)Icy's were around 10 runs.
I don't even want to think how many times I've run for Eardweller.. if I ever see it my neighbors will probably hear me..

My bard got the frenzied berserker ring in her first TOD run ever. And her dps is in the dumps - she's an intimitank. *Sigh*. had to put it up for roll. My rogue on the other hand is a THF, barb-splashed dps maniac.

Now that's just not fair, I've ran the shadow crypt for those stupid wraps more than 40 times. Not only did I not get then, I've never seen them drop for any party members either!

i got devouts in 10 runs on norm... and every time they dropped and some noob just took without being monk... so i got left shafted till someone kindly gave me them

I have done Shadow Crypt on my monk at leaast 100 times (not kidding here) and I have seen them drop 1 time. That is it. I farmed that quest so much it was stupid. I was so focused on getting those dang things that my friends were at lvl 20 when I was still at 15 because I would not stop untill I got them. Finally gave up and rolled a fighter. Got the Devout wraps on his first run. I hate my luck.

I got my devouts on my first run of shadow crypt too! And my monk's DT outfit got the exact sovereign rune he needed on the first try! Still haven't taken him into ToD. I'm lazy like that. And now no one will want a dark monk in there
