What to solo for items?

I have capped my sorcerer (working on my tier 3 on GS) and I was looking for some higher lvl quests that are relatively easy for a sorc to farm for items/plat. Even though this toon is lvl20, I am still a bit of a noob when it comes to knowing quests well enough to know whether I can solo them or not.

I know I can farm tapestries in the Orchard easy enough. What GH quests can be easily solo'd? Thought about farming relics for my fighter or to be sold. Any ideas?

If you have a decent DC i would suggest the Inspired Quarters quests. Nice named items, a chance at an eardweller and always a possibility to pull +2 tomes.

Item drops are very rare in inspired quarters (unless you are a melee toon). The best items you can get for a new 20th level sorcerer which will turn you into a decent sorcerer overnight can be had in Shavarath. 1st time runs of these quests net good drop rates of very useful items.

Its my opinion all new players should at least pick up these two items,
1. Telvi's sash: your Polar Ray can now be as tough as the best sorcerers. Your other cold spells like cone of cold will also benefit with this 75% clicky.
2. Singed belt: your DBF will now be much better with this 75% clicky.

These can respectively be obtained in Bastion and Genesis Point (as well as TOD). Other nice items include: mana clickies, invisibility clickies, superior potency VI items, jump clickies, con buff items, .........

The next place to head is Reavers Refuge. All player whining aside, the draconic armor is the absolute best and fastest way to build a 3 tier useful item. In fact, build multiple items here. Noobs and whinners are good for something in this game. Their constant complaints have caused the game designers to make what essentially was the fastest 3 tier crafting even easier, and an even easier approach is in the mix in the near future. Perception is 9/10ths of the equation, reality be damned.

Hit these areas and in one weekend of play, your toon can go from gimp to super star by Monday morning.

If you want a quest to solo easy go to the demon sands and run offering of blood for spectral gloves. The quest can be done in around 10 minutes and spectral gloves trade very well or sell for around 600k plat on the AH.

Litany of the dead (all sides), Cursed crypt, Bring me the head of ghola-fan, Bloodstone/Firestorm greaves runs, Eardweller, Epic Scroll farming Amarath/Vale slayer area are a few of my favorites.

Theres tons of stuff. Just check out the loot list and see what has a good barter value and farm it.

Demon's Den in Inspired Quarter often has +5 items as an end reward.
Demon Sands has some good solo places, and a lot of them are weak against fire or ice.
Most of the instances in Necropolis could be soloed.
Reaver's Refuge seems like it could be soloed, but have not tried yet.

I assume the question is not "where can i get best items for my character" but "which quest can i do solo quickly and easy and get some nice plat/trash items for sell". For me answer is inspired quaters 1 and 2, Litany of the Dead (all optional bosses, maybe leave beholder alone if you are not an experienced solo caster), Ritual Sacrifice (if you have acces to mass sugestion and invisibility it is a very easy and quick q), Trial by Fire and Cabal for one for GH relics.

When you will feel more comofrtable with soloing and your DCs will go higer, you can try other quest by yourself

I am mainly looking for high lvl quests that I can solo as a caster, loot being a side benefit. I think throwing in the word loot in the original post lead ppl to believe that I want to run something a million times in hopes of getting an ultra rare item. These items do not interest me, per say, as the chances of getting those are slim to none (I have been ransacked out in the Sands at least 20 times and still no Bloodstone). If I am lucky and the item drops in the first several runs great, but if I wanted a grind, I'd go back to WoW.

I don't have a lot of play time after starting a new job so logging in, running quests and selling loot to get plat (and possibly relics in GH) so I can help fund my other toons as they level if mainly what I am looking to do.

Can someone specifically list all the GH, Vale, Necropolis, and Inspired Quarters quests that can be solo'd as a sorc? (Not just quests based on loot). Thank you very much in advance!

You can pretty much solo any of those on a sorceror.

Since you are level 20 and loot is a side effect, what would be the main effect? Fun and experience learning the quest I suppose? Not trying to be nit picky just trying to ascertain exactly what you are looking for.

Personally, in those areas I like soloing PoP, Madstone Crater, the storm fist, and heart walk up quests, Temple of Vol, Fleshmakers (may need another person for the runes at the end though), Ritual Sacrifice, Running with the Devils, Rainbow in the dark. IQ quests are "meh" but Mindsunder can be soloed for good loot (need to solo the preceding quests for discs though) and Titan can be easily soloed and can drop an eardweller.

Yeah, I've seen MrCow's videos before. The aggressive play style and not knowing the quest inside and out as well as he does would take some getting used to. Kinda hard to get out of the mindset of playing in a group on nearly all quests.

All quests drop loot that can be sold. The higher the quest, the better the vendor trash. Just wanting quick and easy quests for decent loot to sell for plat that I can do when no other guildies are doing anything.
