    Default WC : must have spells ?

    Hello WC fellows,

    What are the different must have spells for your WC ?

    While not Warchanter specific, here's a list of spells that you should probably have as any kind of Bard:

    Level 1: Grease, Detect Secret Doors, Master's Touch, Focusing Chant, Expeditious Retreat, Featehr Fall
    Level 2: Glitterdust, Rage, Blur, Invisibility, Hypnotic Pattern
    Level 3: Good Hope, Haste, Displacement, Fear
    Level 4: Freedom of Movement, Dimension Door, Cure Critical Wounds, Hold Monster, Otto's Sphere of Dancing
    Level 5: Greater Dispel Magic, Mass Cure Light Wounds, Summon Monster V, Greater Heroism, Mass Suggestion, Mind Fog
    Level 6: Mass Cure Moderate Wounds, Heroes' Feast, Otto's Irresistible Dance, Greater Shout

    Obviously, most Warchanters will never cast any of the offensive spells on that list other than OID. Also, taking the Greater Heroism spell will probably be worthless once Warchanter II is available.

    Uhhh. well:
    You should consider takeing "At level" healing - you can drop it further in game.
    Lv1. Master's Touch, Focusing Chant, Ex. Retreat (well thjis can be usefull especially low level, and at higher you don't need item slot for +speed), Merfork Blessing (no need points into swimming -> swimming faster), rest as you like.
    Other spells -> DSD (if you have slot for it, otherwise wand would be much better - I seen probably one spot where wand wouldn't be enought (long swim)).
    Lv2. Blur, rage, Invi
    Lv3. Hastle, Dispalcement
    Lv4. FoM, DD, critical healing
    lv5. GH, Shadow Walk, Mass light curing
    Lv6. Irresistible dance, Hero Feast, Mass mod. curing.
    Other spells "if you have pleace".

    Must have's for a war chanter:

    Lvl1: Focusing Chant
    Lvl2: Rage, Blur, Invisibility
    Lvl3: Good Hope, Haste, Displacement
    Lvl4: Freedom of Movement, Dimension Door, Cure Critical Wounds (for self healing)
    Lvl5: Greater Heroism
    Lvl6: Otto's Irresistible Dance (if taking at least 16 bard levels)

    Remove Good Hope and Greater Heroism from that list as must have's once U7 goes live with the heroism song they are getting at level 12. For melee oriented bards the upper level spells do not really offer much.

    Any other choices tend to lean towards what you want your build to do and whether you plan on multiclassing or not.

    My 12/6/2 build is looking better all the time!
