Default Clarification on problem with Solid Fog and Acid Fog

The two fog spells that cause movement reduction dropped monster movement speed to around the same level as a Stalwart Defender in their tier I defensive stance--it cut monster movement by half or more.

At some point not very long ago, the spells stopped slowing monsters down to this degree. Now, the movement reduction is hardly perceptible; I'm guessing the reduction is not more like 5-10%, making this portion of the spells' effect almost entirely useless.

As a specific example, it used to be possible to kite stuff back and forth through a fog, such that the monsters were slowed enough that you could get them halfway through the fog, run around them, and repeat when they got near the edge. Now, stuff gets through the fog so quickly, you might as well be kiting without it.

Given that spells are getting looked at and revised/improved, any chance the devs have, or will, look at these again?

I know that we've heard back that they are WAI, but whatever change you think you made to them does not appear to reflect our experience with them and they've been rendered fairly useless ever since.

Acid Fog may be getting improved damage with U9, but will its slowdown effect be of any worth again? Will Solid Fog be worth preparing again?

Notably, for Solid Fog, it appears that, in addition to its slowdown effect being hardly noticeable and not at all worth preparing the spell for anymore, the attack and damage penalties that it carries don't seem to be working on raid bosses.

Yea its in my bug list.. Sometime over a year ago: Aparently they tried to change it from -80% to -40% , but misplaced a decimal point and put in 4%.

Whatever the case, they are simply worthless as-is.

Also the solid fog bombs from the crystal cove have absolutely no effect. Well no useful effect:
If they strike the environment, nothing happens.
If they strike a monster, they deal a bit of bludgeoning dmg, and produce what looks like the solid fog effect.. Yet it has no actual effect. Doesn't slow monsters, nor lower the damage they deal. Nothing shows in there bio at all.

Wow. That's a pretty astronomical fail.

    I know, on both points.

Figured I'd bump this thread that never got a response now that spells are under the dev's critical lens.

I'm not sure I believe they missed the 40% mark and ended at 4%. There is some noticeable speed reduction, if you're looking for it, and I'm not sure we'd be able to eyeball the 4%, but that may actually be what we're seeing and I'm just not crediting our ability to distinguish such minutiae.

As the purveyor of several pair of goggles of solid fog, I can confirm, the speed reduction is nil.

Thread from July last year. At that point it had already been at LEAST a year, maybe a year and a half. So we're now looking at 2+ years.
