    Arrow Improving /help!

Okay we know that /help will provide a nice list of available commands, right?

Why not have a dialog box appear when you type it that more clearly shows the commands with some easier-to-see font settings?

Also, the /help command doesn't tell me how to clear my entire friend's list (which I do when I have deleted/added numerous people on another toon and I want to import without keeping the dudes I have deleted).

I'd like to type /help and see a dialog box appear and see different sections with bold headings like "Buddy List Commands" and see all of those and "Guild Commands" and then see all those ect.

This sounds like something simple they could throw into Update 7 even. Just add a dialog box with this text and make /help open it. (plus insert a close button on the window and vuala you're done.)

Not too hard no but I have to scroll up through tons of plain white text all mangled together.

Also, it doesn't have everything. (like the clear friend's list command I used once but since forgot)

Not a bad idea to have this slight improvement which is what it is and it has nothing to do with PvP.

    So.. :P

Include all possible command line options: yes.

Make /help bring up a pseudo GUI: no.

Anyone using the /help command is expecting (and should be capable of interpreting) the standard list of commands and /help <command> for extended syntax. The percentage of the populace that uses this doesn't justify the programming time taken away from something else to make it pretty, especially when there is already a GUI for getting help which includes a list of commands etc, it's the big ? on the right of the menu bar.
Hroth Ironbjorn - Fortran Cardpuncher - Roaster the Toaster - Bukbuk Bugok - Claddahg Stonebend - Dukien Du'Caltor - Jheeneric Sorcelatorer - Strombolt - Bhan Dwagon - Mozartron - Thorfyn Hammerhand - Scimitarsis Blendaria - etc ad nauseam.

I clicked Help and went into the Knowledge Base thing and it has the same list.

I want to know the command to wipe a friend's list. They'll need a button for it that requires you to confirm it.

No need to confirm with a password or anything since if they're on your toon they can destroy your stuff anyway or logout and hit Delete and type in your name sooo anyway just like disbanding a guild be all "Are you sure you want to wipe your friend's list?" then be like "Yep" and click "Import" to bring up the latest one from your other toon.

BAM! That easy. Sign it now k? This is a good feature come on guys.

first: theres no comman to whipe a friends list
second: if its that easy to do, why dont you code it and mail it to tubrine?
third: it wont help you in pvp, why do you even suggest it?

    1) There is too I've done it before. You'll find it out if you watch this thread most likely.

    2) I've have decent (not expert or anything) knowledge in coding different languages and I don't know what Turbine is made with but I'm sure making a dialog window appear from a simple /help line wouldn't be difficult. (especially with their knowledge)

    3) That's a silly comment.

    4) Okay that's your choice.
