Can't turn tapestries in and gm won't help

I am not able to turn my tapestries in necro4, the npc there will not accept them even though i have 25 he says I don't have enough. I submitted a ticket and it was closed with a reply to submit a bug report. I submitted another ticket asking to speak with a gm directly and was responded to by ------------- who told me he was the highest level of support available. He again told me he could not help me and to submit a bug report. I asked him to look in my inventory to verify I had the tapestries. He refused and closed the conversation while I was still talking to him.

I went to the submit a bug page and its hopeless because it will never be replied to or fixed.

What am I supposed to do? I have to take the problem to the ddo public I have no choice left to me.

are the tapestries in your tapestry bag or loose in your inventory?

The tapestries are in my tabbed inventory and i've put 5 in the bank so I have exactly 20. And I'm lvl 14.

try fill your tap bag with them then trade.

I noticed my bag icon keeps changing after i talk to him. It goes tot he old triangular shaped bag, Then when I gather it goes to the new round bag icon. I wonder if that is the problem?

you have to have at least 20 taps in the bag so it has the full icon to turn in the quest

the taps have to be in the tap bag for him to take them

it is not the GM's job to tell you how to complete quests.

He did as much as he could. Which in the case of a player misunderstanding how to complete a quest... is pretty much nothing.....

But on the other hand I did all I could. I posted the problem in general chat twice, I googled it, nowhere that I looked did it say that the tapestries had to be IN the bag. I contacted a gm. What am i supposed to do keep spamming the chat all night or walk off into ignorance with no minos?

It's not the GM's job to tell you how to play the game, or to teach you how to read or figure things out o your own. If you're having this much trouble so early in your characters life, you need to consider to stop playing for a while and read everything you possibly can.

I dont recall anything or anywhere where it states you have to have them in your bag...... or else im sure the OP wouldnt be here all confused.

So yes a player might get confused about it..... but to state its player misunderstanding makes you sound like the GM that should have the support mindset to advise him if he had them in the bag .

Maybe the GM's need a refresher DDO & Customer Support Class

Actually when you FIRST take the quest the guy says "Go fill this up and return to me." (paraphrased)

Also I wonder HOW many threads that are "Turbine has teh suxorz cusstumer survis" threads where because someone was not sure how to do a quest?

I once ran a ADQ and somone cried about "how the quest was broken and bugged...because they did not get flagged". Then I asked the important question..."How many times did you talk to Zawabi?" Can you guess his answer?

You all know as well as I do that some NPCs recognize things inside of bags and others need the items to be in inventory. Stop giving the OP grief. He got the 20 Taps, tried to hand them in and couldn't, so he asked for help.

The GM is not there to hold your hand while you play, but how long does it take to ask the player if they have them in tap bag or inventory? 15 seconds of typing?

Normally I'd agree with u Phalaeo but when the OP is leaving 5 of them in his bank and trying to hand in the 15 in his inventory expecting the NPC to know he has 5 in the bank well..... thats' when I figured there may have been a lack of common sense

The fact is that soleil got told to submit a bug report, when instead the gm should have said that it is WAI and s/he is doing something wrong (not necessarily telling what is wrong)

The GM's job is not to lead the players on the wrong track, but to give some kind of ingame help.

I think he had 25 total, of which 5 were in bank and 20 in inventory. That's how I read it, at least.
