So what I want to end up doing is having fun with BB and occasionally heal when needed. Possibly melee if needed in some situations.
To me it comes down to either Human or WF. What are the big advantages over each other? Please advise, thank you!

Choose human for the extra feat.
WF is a poor choice for an evoker, considering the -2 WIS racial penality.

I see. I was thinking possibly the immunities would be weighted to balance that. So Humans look like the ideal choice? Any idea about half elves and how they might compare?
Don't think think half-elf feats help the evoker as much.
Humans (as well as half-elves) will also get +1 wis from adaptability enhancement.

Post a couple down from this one. Great evoker / healer FVS. Human, pure 20, and not hard on gear/stats (only really need a 32 pt build, although of course tomes and gear helps as always).
I love mine. If you prefer the char builder styled layout to follow, I posted it on page 4 of his build thread.
At high levels, immunities are completely worthless. Except for the neg lvls.... but you can fix that with 1 scroll of greater resto and for fighting beholders there are so many items that you can wear to prevent it. 1 feat = boss.
