    Default Mark of Finding!

    Well, it looks neat.

And you poke the object to activate it

And there's a level drain type animation when you break the object.

Now I did see an animation with a bunch of white upward arrows (for lack of a better word) play once, but I was too late on the screenshots.

However, and perhaps it's because I'm low level in low level quests and zones, I never had anything drop that wouldn't have normally dropped. Most of the time nothing.

I tried it on the shipwreck shore...all it did was drop extra stuff like returners, wands and stuff...extra lowbie items from the breakables. I would think this would scale upwards per dungeon/explorer area.
    - I've been to so many raids, but I wouldn't call myself a vet, since I have yet to try out different strategies, tactics and classes in raids.

Some things that I noticed was that most of the time the items spawned in the walls. So, if you think you were getting nothing it may have been in the wall. If you hadn't tried hit Backspace or tab whatever you use for targeting.

Also, it should be noted that these items are not permanent. They are listed as temporary and disappear upon leaving the instance.

Wondering about the scaling of that myself.

Sounds like it is a decent ability for permadeath and other self-limiting groups as well as newbies.

Could we please have a "Find items based on Class" option for the Dragonmark?

I just used it with a Monk in the Waterworks and found 3 wands...

I'll give that a shot later.

Oh, ha, I was Doing It Wrong.

If you wait a moment, the animation plays and breaks the object for you, and then the items drop!

Pretty sure it is based purely on char level and scaling/dungeon level has no effect at this time. Was in Heyton's Rest(Korthos, lvl1ish) on normal, and had a wand of chill touch lvl 3 drop. The drops do seem pretty random as far as class goes although a bit heavier on the wand/returning weapon drops.

I think I would rather have slightly worse loot drop in exchange for the items being permanent. Otherwise I just spammed a couple of the buff wands, and maybe would use the weapons to reduce repair costs. I am not sure what I would use this for. Its a neat trick to me, but low on the useful side. Let me know what you guys used it for.

I did a few harbor quests with my level 4 half orc bard and found a few useful items. A wand of cure moderate wounds, a couple wands of blur, a returning dagger, handaxe and dart, several different +1 weapons and even a +1 chain shirt (which was a temporary upgrade). I got a real kick out of it. I'd wondered how they could make the mark of finding work and really I think it's pretty clever how they managed it. I could see it being a pain playing a non umd type though and getting too many wands. I was solo so didn't see if the items were tradeable. That would be handy if you could just give cure wands and such to teammates. Overall I was much more impressed with the Tharashk dragonmark that I was with the Mark of Storm.

I am interested in these feats. I created a level 1 human last night to try out the 1st leve. Overall it was kind of bland and I am mostly interested in how it scales and how the 3rd one works.
