Lammania Client?

Is there a way to download or install the Lammania client without having to install Pando? I am very excited to be able to see the update 7 stuff soon, however the machine that I'm currently on (my work PC, since my home PC is currently inoperable) will not allow me to access Pando. I believe its a port issue, and I can't mess with the firewall. *grumble grumble* Is there an alternative method of installing Lammania for users who cannot use Pando?

That still points him to the Pando installer.

I don't think DDO has any non-Pando installers unfortunately.

AFAIK the main game does not use the pando installer any longer, however it appears the Lamannia client does. You can uninstall pando after installing the Lamannia client.

Actually one of the last Lamannia client updates for U6 removed pando (uninstalled it completely). I wonder if the client for U7 will be autoupdated like the one on live servers or we'll be forced to redownload the whole thing.

Btw - I attempted to download the main game (i already have it installed - i was just testing) from ddo.com and it comes up with the Pando installer. Pando is (and will probably always be) used...

We are going through the final phases of our systems checks on Lamannia. I'll let you know immediately when Lamannia is opened up.

I have a suggestion, though I don't know how well it will work. Next time you can download Lamannia, save it to some external source. If it won't fit, delete some of the large DAT files. Copy the files to the work computer. Hopefully when you boot it up at work it will just redownload the files.

I know that doesn't help you right now though.

Umm, not sure why you think it would have violated the EULA. It's essentially just copying data, not copying or using another user's actual account.

I read through the Eula and it said copy the data wasn't allowed.

I may have read it wrong, I just didn't want to do something that violated my User Agreement.

As a side note, if anyone figures out how to get Pando to work on their work computers, I'd be very interested in knowing it.

I had to take two laptops with me on a business trip a few weeks ago. Would have been nice if I could have just taken my work laptop. Traveling with two laptops is a pain.
