    Question 7 Monk / 7 Paladin / 6 Fighter

I was musing on a build idea of a 2-handed fighting Quarterstaff user character...

7 Monk for Wholeness of Body and Sun stance (Light path).
7 Paladin for Devotion III, Toughness III and Hunter of the Dead I (ghost touch and extra Healing Ki potency, both outgoing and incoming).
6 Fighter for Kensei I in Quarterstaves.

Would such a build be viable?

It would do some damage. So you can say it would be viable.

But I'd not roll that char. It feels so "diluted".

Why not go in direction of Monk and Rogue Acrobat? Acrobat gets some perks with qstaff and you can max UMD for scrolls/wands (buff, heals) and you get a nice sneak attack bonus (should be as good as Kensai1 or even better). You can even do locks and traps.

I dont see the real synergy here as I feel Kensai I does not give enough to justify fighter levels. I would prefer Monk 8/ Rog 12 or rog 18 / monk 2 build over this if you insist on QStaff.

If you were to go Long sword route I would rather make Pal 14/Monk 6 build. (or Rog1/Monk7/paladin 12)

I'm not saying it will suck but just dont see the real benefit with the fighter other then a few feats and Qstaff is pretty subpar as far as weapons go. (unless you get the Acrobat enhancements to it)

Well other than Handwraps or Kamas, a Quarterstaff is the only weapon a Monk multiclass can use and still gain Ki for healing finishers, etc.

with the fighter feats it might be nice to get longswords in there with whirlingsteel longswords arn't that good but are better then the monk weapons
