my ddo christmas wish list

1- I wish I could personalize my DT armor with at least a 2 color combination.
Hundreds of hours farming, questing and fighting just so I can look exactly like EVERYONE else? Running with any group over 16th level is like hanging out with crazy postal workers. everyone has a blue and grey uniform on. We can change our hair color but not our meticulously handmade armor color? a shame.

2- I wish we could name our bound and attuned/crafted items.
I've got a +5 vorpal long sword of pure good with force critical. I call him Sweeny Todd.
Some spend thousands of hours developing green steel items. Do they ALL have to be called SUPREME COMMANDER blah blah blah? What if someone wants to name they're hand made great sword suzy?

3- I wish hirelings at high level had some way to keep up when I'm running along the road.
Come on Whyo! your 20th freaking level and you haven't even gotten +25% run speed boots yet? Huh?

4- I wish there was at least ONE epic quest built for solo players
It's already bad enough that NO EPIC quest can be done unless you've got a wizard/sorcerer with everlasting firewalls. It's all so mechanical it went beyond boring.
Can't 1 person be enough to change the world sometimes?

5- I wish there were more quests period that are built for solo play
I've raided the giants vault so many times they should just give me the key and make ME the guardian.

6- I wish I didn't have to get 24 freaking essences EVERY time I want to get my mindsunder named items unsuppressed.
Good lord! It's only lesser vampirism! Do I really have to ransack 4 quests over and over every day for a week just for that? It's easier to craft force critical on the stone of change and get a better power for a random item.

7- I wish I could keep track of the renown I've generated.
There's 2467 people in my guild. Who the hell cares or will ever know if I don't take the legendary victory and pick the +1 pick of stupid powers for vendor bait? Whats my incentive anyway? Nothing.

8-I wish VIP members got a free pack every 3-6 months or so that they own.
15 bucks a month for 50 years and if I don't pay 1 single time I lose everything. But joe blow who farmed nothing but favor will ALWAYS have all the packs he picked up. It just doesn't seem fair.

9- I wish I could have a place to call home.
20th level quadruple TR multigazillionair and all I have is a bank account with 4 storage slots and my backpack? Do I live anywhere? where do I sleep at night? Can i at least rent a small apartment in the harbor with a few storage chests? I can buy a ship the size of Rhode Island but can't get a closet in a flop house? I've collected 4 lifetimes of goods but can't keep a fraction of it. It's sad to be homeless. PS: er um... You do know that people make storage bots right? Why should we even have too is the question. it's just plain silly.

10- I wish i had
a horse, a rope, a grappling hook, spikes, blacksmith skills, a pen/ink and parchment for mapping/notes, a horse, the ability to marry and have kids, new underwear (been wearing these since korthos), a pet griffon, a search function on the AH, high heeled boots, smarter hirelings and did I mention a horse?

Where's that waahmbulance picture someone posted yesterday? 500 TP a month should average out to around a pack a month if you purchase everything on sale. It might take a while to get everything you want on sale after switching to a vip account though, but after 50 years, you should have 300,000 TP just sitting there. You probably won't need to wait for a sale.

I am overwhelmed with sympathy for the tragedy of your situation. Being the vip pay-as-you-go scum that I am, I wish to express my uttermost regret for the choices I have made, and I would like to make things better for you by whatever means possible.

If the servers are still up and you're still playing in another 49 years, tell you what - I'll cover your sub ('course, I'll likely be long dead by then).

More solo would be nice. Have you tried the Claw of Vulkoor in the Fens pack?

It's soloable (easier alone imo), and very soloable on epic too with practice.

You'll still have to kill the first guy, but he falls quick if you use a Bone Breaking weapon. Anyone can also neg level him to death - try both if you have a dreamspitter Otherwise hirelings and/or enervation scrolls get it done. I'm sure there's other ways if you don't have UMD

to #1 omg and isn't the armor the most hideous thing u've seen i was so excited to get my DT put it on did the runes and thought.... why oh why did i bother? i look like a massive blob and hey look everyone else looks like me too how fantastic!

hence i got my 25 scales and look like a blue goddess these days plus it suits me better for my playstyle on my cleric anyhow really but still nice loking DT armor ahhh that would be nice

It probably has something to do with why it takes a Barbarian with 30% striders to keep pace with trash mobs in Misery’s Peak. Or the absurd charging speed of mobs in the Cannith Crystal quest.

I dunno about the renown tracker thing. On the one hand its nice to be rewarded for your personal efforts, and to see who is completely inactive. On the other hand, so much of the renown system is just random chance that to base individual success on it beyond the extreme high and low would be foolish.
I think something that would be cool though is to give free DDO store points for certain renown milestones, just like with favor. This would help tie in with the reasoning behind requiring DDO store points to be spent for many guild benefits, as right now it just looks like pure ripoff.
