    Default Tumble

Do any of the other monks use this skill? I don't really use it that much and I am beginning to wonder if I can justify putting points into it anymore. I'll take my monk and tumble through a traps at times but for the most part I really don't use it.

Use it every time I'm on one of my monks not for the actual tumble but for the reduced damage when falling. decent tumble + monk built in slow fall means you can skip Feather fall when everyone else wants it.

and tumbling doesn't help you get through traps any better than running, unless you skill is high enough that it actually increases your movement speed over the tumble distance and that happens to be enough to get through the trap.
Move along , Nothing to see here

To be honest being fast and having a very good jump skill will get you over many traps, while tumbling will still be taking a chance of getting through it without getting hit.

I tend to enjoy getting high tumble skill anyways though if I have the spare skill for it.

Yes, jumping is usually how I go through most traps. In the early stages tumble. I just don't find myself using tumble much and wondered if any of you did use it in combat at all. I have tried it before tumbling around and striking but to be honest I never found it provided an advantage. I have used it to help fall also but featherfall items are pretty common.

By level 20 tumble seems rather pointless for a monk, at least since U5. Perfect fall negates all falling damage, including the featherfall hostile Reaver's Fate raid, and anywhere you'd normally tumble, abundant step seems to work better.

It is supposed to not interrupt your combat animation sequence, so I used to use it on retreating archers/casters. but for that 1 tumble works as well as 40 tumble.

But it would probably still be a useful tool for a twitch-pro, which I'm far from.

I use it for backflips. It's also fun to have an 80+ tumble in reavers.
Want to remain guildless or solo, but still want to take advantage of the guild renown system?

Can someone explain this tumble bonus in reavers please. I seen this befor but I don't know what your talking about.
Your talking about a quest or an equipment?
    Joke:
A paladin joins a pug run. Once in quest a Halfling summons an Iron defender, starts spewing grease all over the paladin’s feet/Paladin falls.

Paladin says “WHAT THE F***! THAT DOES NOT HELP!!" The Halfling reply’s "Sure it does, gives me a laugh every time.”

If you stand next to the Reaver long enough, you get a buff which regenerates your HP, SP (if you have any), makes you immune to knockdown from Air Elementals and gives you a massive bonus to your tumble skill.

Yeah, i'm in the same boat also. I've used it a few times rolling around attacking but I seem to do more harm to the whole situation when I try it. Not to mention I can disorient the hade's outta myself sometimes. LOL
