Just running around in Menechtarun and was struck by how odd this statement that pops up is:
(Dungeon Master): The bottom of this immense cavern is home to the deadly Vulkoorim.
It is? Really? Then where are they? I can run from one end to the other of this massive canyon and not encounter a single one of them. A few of them added down there would not go amiss, or maybe some small side lairs to balance things out as there are a LOT more Undead and Gnolls in the desert than there are Scorrow/Drow right now.
Just an observation.

Well to be honest, D&D is a roleplaying game. If the DM says something it should either add suspense or be a warning sign.
Since in DDO you can replay areas like this, maybe make their appearance random? That way it builds the suspense of the area because you just never really know.Home Server: Cannith

They live inside the quest "Raid the Vulkoorim". Lots of em in there. They also have guards on the 2 passes that lead down to this cavern (one near the quest, and the other group of guards where the named guy appears south of offering of blood). Their combat guys are near these chokepoints and protect thier lair. The ones that might mill about the canyon are the equivalent of farmers, and would hide when adventurers come nearby
