Hey all,
So I decided to come back after playing at release, and I decided to roll up a barb since typically I did spellcaster and general fighter last time around.
I have to say I am loving the barb playstyle, I love having all the clickies and turning on ridiculous str mode, alot of fun.
So I am a vet pnp player of DnD - and I know everything doesnt translate well or close but I get how some things stack, some dont etc - but some of the feats dont give the cold, hard numbers (im a bit of a cruncher) so there is confusion on my part as to which is better.
On a side note I am semi-following shades build located here http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p...80&postcount=3 with some minor changes on my part but its really a solid build that is built the way i probably would have done it for the most part.
My barb hit lvl 9 last night, so far featwise he has thf, cleave, and power attack. When I hit lvl 9 - shades build thought to pick up IHTF first over improved critical. I dont see any cold hard numbers associated with ITHF to justify it in my mind over improved critical. Id rather get the crit range early so I can stop using carnifex (although I admit carnifex is broken due to the fact that it definitely does more than doubles the threat range, it looks like it triples it) and use other axes effectively with a better crit range.
So - if you read my rambling to this point ill try to get to it quickly:
1 - was it a silly choice on my part? is ITHF really that great to get first?
2 - his guide also waits all the way till 18 to get toughness or stunning blow. Im definitely *NOT* getting toughness - i think stunning blow sounds much better due to the autocrit. my question here is - is it worth waiting all the way till 18 to get stunning blow when way more things will be immune? Or should I get stunning blow at 12 and start getting the rest of the THF feats last?
Thanks for your time
