Improving Bard's Spell List

The bard spell list isn't very impressive in comparison to other arcane caster, though I realize that are martial class. They are spell gaps in buffs, debuffs, and crowd control spells. This is hindering to spellsinger who are spell focused, so at very least have the spellsinger Pr'E grant access to an improved spell list.

As a casting bard, I would love to see more spell variety. Some of the spells on that list would make me super happy to have (Web = love) but as they're not on the Bard Spell List I don't see it happening. But to play devil's advocate... Never say never

Your probably right , but I would be happy with halt undead, command undead, control undead, ooze puppet, web, bulls , bears and owls. Along with some metamagic enhancements.

to be honest I'd love to see bards get the ability to use these spells:

Magic Weapon
Alarm
Delay Poison
Levitate :3
Pyrotechnics
Tasha's Hideous Laughter (what's funnier than making a Troll burst into laughter?)
Wind Wall
Mislead
Eyebite
Veil
Contagion


remember, unlike Sorcerers and Wizard, Bards only gain 6 levels of spells. Everything on your list above level 6 will have to be scratched off :c I want bards to have more spells to save my butt with too but you can't go overpowering a support class

Mass (stat buff) really isn't very useful. By the time you'd actually get that spell, people would have a +4 or better item anyway.

I'd like to see spells from enchantment though. That fits more in with bard.

They do get Otto's Irrestable though. That is lvl 8 on arcane.

They also get Otto's Dancing sphere. That is lvl 7 on arcane.

Those are both enchants though and both something to do with dancing :O have you "heard" bard music, who doesn't wanna dance to that?

After looking at the PnP spells, I don't think they will add in mass hold monster if they are actually trying to keep with that particular list.

Some other spells mentioned I wouldn't count on either if they are following the PnP list.

That said, there is still some hope since DDO has house rules and doesn't follow PnP rules to the T.

It would be nice to have a better selection of spells to choose from.
