TWF vs THF for paladin

Yes this question again that has been on the forums for a long time....

Yes I read the guide to making a paladin but I am not sure if the information is up to date on the guide. Just want to know before I TR my character.

TWF gives you the highest DPS, flat. Double (zeal tripple!) smites, sacrifices etc. end up putting out high amounts of damage.

THF gives still very high damage, but if you can consistantly twitch, frees up the three feats. Some palis use the feats to get max + quicken, using torq and a Conc Opp item to get free sp, and self heal constantly.

Mod 7 changes weapon procs on glancing blows, I don't have the numbers in front of me but use some search-fu and they should come up. Would require taking the THF chain to benefit.

While the nerf to TWF was pretty big, it still wasn't enough to bring it down to thf levels. Too bad, they just didn't increase the damage for THF.

Not taking twf would enable you to spend 8 more points somewhere else, assuming you left dex at 8. Also, THF has a better to-hit, 1.5X str mod, and 10 damage power attack. The str mod and added damage to power attack could be offset by the off-hand attacks of twf when it lands. Leveling my paladin I do wish I would have taken thf. I miss a lot, and have to run with power attack off most of the time. At level 20, though, for max dps twf is a pretty clear winner, because of double and triple smites/divine sacrifices.

The last update removed glancing blows while twitching. Resulting in twitchers dropping the feats as useless, since twitching is better dps.

U7 may change that.

They are changing how glancing blows work in conjunction with the THF feats.
