Question Update 7 Reavers Refuge Crafting chagnes

I haven't seen this asked or answered yet do we know if the "Runes are now identifiable" applies to only new runes or if it applies to previously gained runes as well?.

It will apply to old runes as well.

    Thumbs up Thank you

Thank you very much sir for the clarification that had been nagging me since the first mention of the change.

    Nice.

Just to clarify - this means that runes remain bind to character on acquire, but are identified in the chest, and can thus be 'traded' in the same way that players currently trade raid loot, e.g. 'Nice Glacial Assault bracers, been waiting ages for them, I'll give you the +3 Str tome that dropped under my name for them'.

I'm looking forward to *finally* getting Incite +20% on my Sovereign Rune.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

For an Eladrin response to a thread dealing with the most annoying loot mechanic in game. This thread is lacking.

    Seven hats off to Turbine.

Finally, the monk and the arcane can trade their glaciation and dodge runes in the reaver's chest.

    I hope you are right!

I took it to mean when any Sov rune was 'split' in the altar it would produce a random number of identified rune/s. (meaning you would have to combine existing runes into a sov rune and then split the sov rune into random runes to identify them).

Yeah, the post was ambiguous, and I initially thought that too, but given that most people think they are IDed in chest, and no Dev has explicitly contradicted this, I'm hopeful.

All of the runes are now named, so you can trade them in the chest with each other if you want, and if you have any three lower tier "junk" runes you can upgrade them a tier, and if you have a "junk" high tier rune you can smash it back into random other stuff.
