    Default Defensive Roll

I know what it says it does on DDOWiki, don't quote what it says in this post or I will frown on you for not reading an OP.
I want to know has anyone tested it themselves and share what you found.

    Thank you
    Joke:
A paladin joins a pug run. Once in quest a Halfling summons an Iron defender, starts spewing grease all over the paladin’s feet/Paladin falls.

Paladin says “WHAT THE F***! THAT DOES NOT HELP!!" The Halfling reply’s "Sure it does, gives me a laugh every time.”

I used to use Defensive roll on my rogue. It saved me a few times, but generaly that only was when it was just BARRLY in the threshold of throwing a roll for it.

I say if you can have a 35+ general Reflex save with 450+ hp, it could provide some use in sticky situwations more so if you an acrobat and abuse the large number of uncanny dodges you get.

Also you will throw the dice for a roll when you are in the threshhold range it comes in befor the attacker makes there to hit roll. But other then that it is kinda like Slippery mind , if you don't have decent Reflex save and HP even if you could always make the roll check it may not help you anyways.

But if you don't have a reason to want +1 to all skills or really need to boost a key skill(s) a point then you can pick it up. I know I would pick it back up now , if i didn't need the extra point in UMD for scrolling hehe.

So Tuney, do you take hafe damage or no damage when it works? I just want a comfermation if it really does do just what it says in the wiki from someone who really did give it a fair test.

I can't say for sure about half damage but you do take less damage. But still about the ONLY time it could shine is if you are Shield blocking , have the max hp of a super raged up Barb and the Reflexes of dex monkey. Because then at least on paper ,you'd get DR and less damage taken.

And mostly sure about the effects being blocked because I'd see the 'shield icon' popping over my head like i'd block an effect even though I almost never go into a blocking stance hehe.

I say the wiki is probbly right about the stats. It probbly work out better if the rolling went at a higher HP % remaining due to inflated damage at higher levels. It can and WILL provide some use til you are doing Amerath quests or IQ quests. At that point , unless you have high HP and half way decent Reflex its use becomes more worthless. Though I guess it could keep you alive for a swing or two if you keep making the rolls but still depends on your max hp.
