Only one question.

Once copied, is the original character still playable on the live servers?

IE: I copy character A from Sarlona. Character A appears on llama. Is Character A in its original version still going to be on Sarlona, or only available on Llama?

It's a "copy" so yes you will still be able to play it on your normal server

Ahh, good... I've heard 'Copy' used far too often by tech-types in situations where it ended up meaning 'Everything you did up til this point is gone and you are SOL if you think we're going to restore the progress you made previously'.

So it is a question born of previous negative experience with the term 'Copy'.

are we going to retain the points we have on llama now? i still have a ton from the last server pass.. or are we going to have to get tp on llamaland somehow?

I need some clarification on the term “once”.

If it’s “Once… ever” then it’s not really that useful. You’re just postponing the same issues you had before until new update.

If it’s “Once… during the beta testing so we can search out bugs. The plan is to give you a system that will only overwrite the character every once in a while.” then cool. This is a useful feature.

Wow, that was near instant, very nice. Any reason why we can only copy 5 chars in our lifetime? I could easily see wanting to copy different chars at different times based on what was being previewed. Today I might want to copy my 12rogue/3ftr to try the GR+3, two mods from now I might want to copy the resulting 20rogue to test your new L20 content or test the TR3 function you released.

Would be nice if this could be expanded at some point for server to server paid moves instead of the current manual process.

Lookls like it hasw whatever was on lama before. however it also looks like they did a character wipe so you need to transfer a character over.

K, that's what I was looking for - wondering if it was just me with an empty character roster.

Any chance that account options bought in the store will be transferable sometime in the future? I mean we did pay for them on the live servers so I don't see any reason not to be able to get it on Lama. Character copy is kinda pointless for me since most of my toons have a level of monk (and as such I cannot play them at all on Lama).

Looks like my character copy worked just fine. And nice and simple to use too.

Well after logging in to myddo and attempting to xfer over it took about a minute to say it did it... now i gotta finish dling llama so i can tell whether it did or not!

*sigh* now i know why i didn't have llama already the downloader is weird X_X

Might be that the server's been zergrushed, since it was just released and I bet quite a few people want to pop their toons over.

Well that's nice and silly, I bought monk months ago but now i don't have the TP on Lamannia to use my monk because it requires a re-purchase from the DDO store, on which I currently have 220 points. It is supposed to be unlocked for all servers for my account for all time.

Awesome design btw. Guess I'll wait for it to show up on live servers.

might sound stupid but:
how do you copy your cahr again?

i remember it was said somewhere and something with myddo and big green arrows but i cant find it anymore

€: ah well, my llama install is somehow broken (cant even uninstall it) and the new dnd-setup.exe doesn exactly nothing, so no llama for me
€2: ok, now i can reinstall it...strange

If you're getting an error on that page make sure you are logged into my.ddo because otherwise it will not let you view the copying page.
