Default What is wrong with this Build

Ok so i was bored, so i decided to build a cleric to fill up time. I don't have any of this stuff but i thought it might be fun but at level 20 it seems pretty good except for low con as well as ridiculous gear. And i never make a good build. Also this is a shuriken wielding nanny-bot. So the title.

That basically sums it up. Nothing in your build matters if you die too easily, so bump up Con to a minimum of 12, 14 would be better.

Edit: After looking through your feats and other choices, well, I cried a little. You said you never make a good build, but is it meant to be a joke? I couldn't tell, really.

After looking at it, what's wrong with this build? Pretty much everything. I'm only new to DDO but all this build looks horrilble. Is it supposed to be funny? If you want to play a cleric look at Sirgog's build catalogue for a good starting point http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=223253

You have too many points in Str, you need to throw them into Int.

Make sure you take the Nimble hands feat.

Go 19 Cleric/1 Barb so you can Rage, and get even less Con.

Finally, you eat your +2 Con tome too early, you should wait a couple of levels to eat it.

Do all that, and you should be golden.

Oh one more thing, next time you open up the DDO Client, before you login with that character, click the character, hit the Delete button, type in the character's name, and hit OK. You should be set once you do that.

    Thanks for playing

First I want to applaud you for thinking differently

However, I would like to leave you with a couple suggestions/thoughts that might help you take the rough off the edges.

Keeping this in mind a "Nanny-Bot" needs to be a Tough-Bird - Even if they usually keep from getting "Dirty"

    1. The stats

If you are intending to be backline to heal/throw then you should not sacrafice DEX as this will be the primary To-Hit stat - not saying go overboard just dont stick with base 10

Strength - Again back line go with 12 and use these 2 points to push DEX

Constitution - 6 - Nanny's should not be squishey - if they are then the party wipes

Wisdom - As a Nanny-Bot you can sacrifice two points from here giving you 4 points to spend in CON (gets you to 10 CON)

Charisma - Again you can sacrifice two points from here to give you 4 points to spend in CON (gets you to 12 CON and 2 points to spend in DEX getting that to 14)

    32 points (str 12, dex 14, con 14, int 10, wis 16, char 14)

    2. Feats

    Just recommendations

Level 1 - Toughness (HP you have to be tough)
Level 3 - Mental Toughness (SP will be needed to keep party going)
Level 6 - Empower Healing (JIT for Radiant Servant)
    Level 9 - Weapon Focus - Throwing (to-hit boost on your "Snow-Star")
Level 12 - Extend or Maximize - Sometimes you need a boost in power
Level 15 - Improved Crit Throwing - additional chance at more dmg
Level 18 - Quicken - for the un-interupted casting situations

Keep in mind that the crit range increase you will find to be "Lacking" in additional power - you could exchange that to have both Extend and Maximize

    3. Advancement Level Ups

Put these into Wisdom - putting them into CON at this point is Expensive as compared to the return on investment it will bring on improving your wisdom.

As a side note: Look at some of the Monk splash builds out there - this could net you two additional feats and some inherent abilities to make you tougher. Going this route losses the Capstone for the trade off of the additional feats, not sure but I think they also have enhancements for the weapon of choice.

It's perfect. You maxed out diplomacy and really went after it. It really shows exceptional forethought on your part. Because you are really going to need it...

Everytime you go to the underworld, which will be frequent. I know, I know. You are thinking to talk to the Devil. But he is going to be one of your biggest fans. All those souls you'll be sending his way. He is going to love you. All those poor noobs that take you as their cleric. Jokes on them! HA!

No, you're going to need that diplomacy, because that veritible army of happless noobs is going to find you in the underworld one day. And don't think the Devil will help you, because it is going to be too fun to watch. Hell (no pun intended), I would pay to see that. You are going to need to talk some serious sh!t when that happens. Loads and loads of diplomacy. And I'm not talking the Hans Solo in the guard station in Star Wars I, I'm talking Ash in Army of Darkness when he gets his !BOOMSTICK! back. Yep, diplomacy. Because them noobs is going to be ****ed!
Doing a good job here is like peeing in a dark suit.

You get a warm feeling, but nobody really notices.

Too much con, shouldn't waste a +2 tome on it.

Heal skill is too low. Need to get more items of +heal. You're a cleric, you're the one everyone depends on to get full red bars after each shrine, you'll get flamed if it doesn't happen.

Also, you're missing Weapon Specialization: Thrown and Greater Weapon Specialization: Thrown to get the full mileage out of your +5 shuriken (at which you're not proficient, but AB doesn't matter anyway, it's ok). you should probably swap out Quicken and Empower heal to get those, and then you'll truly be rocking the ranged DPS.

Looks like he's actually a new player from his other posts.

Clerics get a couple good ranged attack spells: Soundburst, Searing Light, Blade Barrier (short ranged, admittedly), Greater Command (no damage, but awesome anyways), Cometfall, Flamestrike, Implosion.

You should perhaps consider specing as a "Pure caster cleric" for your first cleric, to get to know the class, play style, and expectations.

    Human cleric, 28 pt buy:
    Str: 8
    Dex: 8
    Con: 14 (6 pts)
    Int: 10 (2 pts)
    Wis: 18 (16 pts)
    Cha: 12 (4 pts)

Put all your levels up into Wisdom.
    Feats:
    1: Toughness
    H: Extend Spell
    3: Empower Healing
    6: Maximize Spell
    9: Quicken Spell
    12:
    15:
    18:
The last 3 feats are really up for debate:
    1) Mental toughness offers ~100 more mana
    2) Empower spell offers a better blade barrier.
    3) Heighten spell offers a better blade barrier.
    4) Spell Penetration and Improved Spell Penetration help your offensive spells as well.

Skill points: Concentration, Balance, and your choice (often UMD)
Thelanis: Ikeren, Paladin 7. Dylas --- Cleric 21.

Okay, so Vorpal Shuriken + the rest of it = this is a joke. Still, here is some earnest advice.

It's an interesting idea to dump con at start
and use level ups to catch up
to a slightly-below standard level of hit points.
However this ends up costing the build
    more than what it gains.

As a Cleric, it is quite important to stay alive
The death of a Cleric is for the most part, embarassing.
But can lead to party wipe - it depends upon the circumstances
The death of any party member can affect a quest's outcome
But for the most part, if a Cleric remains alive,
The quest is much easier for the rest of the party.

There is a lot of good advice here on the Cleric forums
That present ways in which to ensure your Cleric is an asset
    In any party (or soloing)
