Default Twilight Forge...2 Questions for Cannith!

Ok so I have looked around and seen that the raid loot for the Twilight Forge raid is actually pretty sweet. I have also noticed though that there is never a LFM up for it on Cannith or most other servers for that matter. Why? What makes people avoid the Twilight Forge so much?

Now I said I had two questions so the second would be this:

Who would like to run this raid? I figure if we can get a guide and some willing bodies we could all get Twilight Forge done, get the gear we want (Chattering Ring for me) and be done with it. I know there is a plethora of people that know the raid, have done the raid and dislike it for some reason. What will it take to bring those people out of hiding and reignite interest in this raid?

How about this....I will offer 5K plat to each person that participates in a SUCCESSFUL Twilight Forge Raid. With an additional 10K plat to the person that passes a Chattering Ring to me if they pull it.

All in all, 15K plat to the person that ensures I get a Chattering ring. An Hours work for 15K? Not sure how people feel about that though I am open to negotiations of a REASONABLE amount if people would like more plat.

The name is Delkshavan on Cannith.

It is run but not often in LFM. Mostly because it requires about 6-8 people to co-ordinate through the pre-raid and then 2-3 people to do the end raid with everyone else not doing something stupid to mess it up. The combination of the two makes people averse to doing this in a PUG imho.

That aside good luck getting anyone to run this raid for 5k plat. Anyone who can run the raid can make a lot more than that in an hour so why bother?

Basically, what Aurum said. Our guild runs this every Saturday afternoon and more often than not, we just short-man it rather than taking PUGers if we don't fill with guildies. It's not even that one or two PUGers is such a bad thing even... for us, it's because we use vent to coordinate separate paths so we don't have to hear "Ok, pull the green lever now" while we are trying to knock out the Green puzzle.

As for offering 5k plat, I'm sure you could find people who would go with you for that but offering 10k for a Chattering Ring? lol... We run it every Saturday and I've seen exactly 2 rings drop. I think you'd probably have to offer a bit more than that to even tempt someone.

You might check with Iraelis. They run TF pretty often and he is great at teaching the raid. He's the one that taught me anyway.

    Default Chattering Ring

Is the only good loot from that RAID in my opinion. I think there is a sort of decent docent also.

That being said, I will run it with you. You can keep the plat, there are enough chests and to have my shot at getting the ring is reward enough for me.

I have several characters raid ready and I can always get more.

I usually form a pug group for this once or twice a week. Thats about 9-11pm UK time.

If your quick and looking you should be able to join it when its posted. Its always open to all.

Look for Maetrim. Or keep an eye in the abbot channel where the raid can also be announced.

Mmmm... you left out 7-fingered gloves (end-game UMD item), Belt of Brute Strength (ML9 with Str +6 AND Greater False Life, useful till you can level up to an Amrath belt), Gyroscopic Boots (ML9 Boots with 30% striding and +10 balance), and of course +2 tomes. I think any of those is superior to the Titanic Docent and the 7-fingered gloves are on the list of pretty much every end-game UMD build.

I love running twilight Forge, its a really fun raid but as Snuffles said it really only requires about 5 people (one being a monk) to complete. The actual raid requires even less people, and I'm guessing that a lot of guild (as mentioned above) will just short man it. I know we do, but its nice to take other guildies along to have a chance for more loot. If you do start running this though, plan on 20 completions for whatever item you want. Chattering Ring may not even be an option though on your 20th completion

Its one you gotta grind, grind, grind to get anything good out of. The ring and the gloves are awesome though, and well worth the grind if you need them. As far as pugging it, it only takes one screwball to mess up the green puzzle, take too many stones, or take the wrong color stones in the pre raid. Many pugs won't listen and I suspect this is why its not pugged much. Most people that know it wanna get in and get it done, without having to worry about someone.

Default Second that this RAID is a grind

Many people grind it and for the 20th completion it is absolute utter vendor trash.

QFT. Apart from the ring and gloves, there's really not that much in the raid that's any good for the level most are that are running it.

I personally don't like the raid, infact it's one of if not the most hated raid for me, just for the simple fact that it takes a long time to do, it's fairly boring (both parts, piking or not) and the loot, aside from said 2 items isn't worth the trouble to go after.. As said, it only takes ONE person to screw up the pre-raid, and the same goes for the actual raid its self. It's a raid where everyone needs to be listening and following what is said.

Have they added a res and rest shrine post completion yet? It was just the bees knees for only 4/12 to be able to loot when the only folks left alive weren't divine casters and all the dead had the UMD for scrolls or res clickie items.

I dont like these arguments against the raid:
-too long (not at all, once you are with 4-5 veterans at least its no more than 30 min or less, almost the same as von 5)
As for the raid itelf: having 6 pikers can actually be handy as they can be used as bait on the right upper ladder to manage titan aggro, usually luring the titan to the middle of the hall, since he cant hit them from anywhere else.

Wow, this is seriously the funniest thing I've read here in awhile. Thanks for putting a smile on my face and good luck!
