To anyone that has actually been lucky enough to pull the Assassin ring out of ToD. How well does it work and is it worth the ring slot. I know I could add +6 Stat to to it off set a position in my build but does it proc enough to really be useful?

honestly i keep the mechanic set on more than the assassin set. mostly because i'm lazy and don't want to swap gear when it comes time to disable something.

Most times I forget to do the swap for disabling, and on rare occasions when under quest level and above normal difficulty I may just blow one.

But what do you see as a proc rate for the lvl drain?

I had the assassin set when ToD first came out. It was great when the level drain worked on purple named mobs and I was the most popular guy in my guild. "Hey Dresek, can you run this ToD with us?" "Get away from him, his ours and we're running an Elite Shroud!"

Ah...glory days.

Now, the set is a joke.

The sneak attack bonus doesn't stack with a level 13 single raid item. The poison immunity negates our inate poison resistance. The level drain only works on trash and they die so fast you'll never see it proc.

Look for the Frenzied Berserker set, Ravager set, or Shintao Monk set. You can wear one of the first two AND the third at the same time.
