Another option a different company uses is to self limit (out of the client) the amount of money that can be spent in a time period.
$0 dollars every year (no purchases available)
$20 dollars every 6 months
$10 dollars every month
etc
This would also seem handy for people who have kids that play the game (and we know kids play the game!) they could set up an allowance.

Has anyone heard of any further developments to improve DDO account security and functionality? I still have not used a credit card on my account since learning of this, as I don't feel the risk is worth it. Maybe U11 will bring some improvement?

In light of recent activities, and hopefully a dodged bullet, perhaps a revisit to credit card security, storage, and ability to delete/add cards to account and ddo store?
