    Default Looking for a build!

So, I recently got Favored Soul. HURRAY!

Unfortunately, I only have a 28 point build and all the builds I've seen on the forums are for 32 and above. Not to mention, most of them are for Warforged which I don't have as well. So I'm hoping if it's possible for someone to post some 28 point builds (or make one out of their kindness? <3) that revolve around offensive casting with SOME healing capabilities. I'm up for any race as long as it isn't Warforged.

It's appreciated! Thanks a bunch to whoever is able to help me. Cookies will be rewarded.

Create a dwarf or human with max wis(18), con (14+), cha(10+). Everything else you can make to flavor, all level-ups in wis.

Feats: (1) Toughness, (1-human) Emp Heal, (3) Extend, (6) Maximize, (9) Highten, (12) Quicken, (15) Spell Focus: Evocation, (18) Greater Spell Focus: Evocation.

If dwarf, take toughness, remove GSF: evo.

This will give you a caster-type FvS with high spell dc's and excellent blade barriers. Healing can be done with no problems at all and you can also increase BB damage by switching Emp Heal for Empower(which also affects mass cure spells, but not the heal spell, or mass heal).

Dwarf will have more hp, human more feats.

    Thanks for the quick reply!
Mm, the information given seems pretty good.
A question about skills; should I focus on Concentration, Balance, Jump or UMD? Unless I focus on more than one. I'm still unsure. UMD would be nice so I can use wands and stuff but Jump is also helpful in the long run, right?

For skills, I would put points into Jump, Balance...not sure if I would put them anywhere else. You can go for UMD, consider the following however: 12 base+5(cha20)+4gh+2FoGF+6gs shroud item+5(7fingered gloves)=34. With a human, you can use skill boost to get to 39. That does require a lot of gear you may not have access to in order to achieve a high enough UMD to make it worth the investment.

You won't need much concentration with a decent constitution score, and once you get quicken, have it on all the time=no-fail casting.

Ah that's true. I totally forgot about Quicken. Mm, yeah I probably won't have access to those items yet but eventually I may have access to it.

As for Jump, I read that 10 ranks in Jump is enough since the Jump spell can easily bring you up to the max. As for Balance, I'll get that since I'll probably need it.

Now for the big problem, spells. What I had in mind was..

Level 1 - Cure Light Wounds, Nimbus of Light, Nightshield and Summon Monster I

Level 2 - Cure Moderate Wounds, Sonic Blast, Resist Energy and Remove Paralysis

Level 3 - Cure Serious Wounds, Mass Aid, Protection from Energy and Magic Circle against Evil

Level 4 - Cure Critical Wounds, Freedom of Movement, Mass Shield of Faith and Deathward (or Restoration?)

Level 5 - Protection from Elements, Raise Dead, Summon Monsters V and Mass Cure Light Wounds

Level 6 - Blade Barrier, Mass Owl's Wisdom and Mass Eagle's Splendor

Level 7 - Destruction, Mass Protection from Elements and Mass Protection from Spell Resistance

Level 8 - Firestorm, Mass Deathward and Mass Cure Critical Wounds

Level 9 - Implosion, Mass Heal and True Resurrection

I chose skills that I think would be suitable whether I'm soloing or partying with people. Hopefully I made the right choices?

EDIT: Oh, as far as Enhancements go, I was thinking of following either..

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=268751 or http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=199266.

The first link is all about healing while the second is about pure casting. I was wondering if following the second would be more ideal for me since I only want SOME healing capability; not be a pure healer in a group.

Level 1: i'd swap summon monster for shield of faith. Sure it doesnt stack with protection items, but untilll you get a decent one it will be very nice, and at mid level till you get your epics it will save you an item slot for only 20sp

level 4: i'd swap out mass shield of faith, in decent groups people who need it should be having a prot item, you youreslf dont necessearly have one due to the single target version. if one person needs it you can cast the single version on him and keep this slot open for restoration.

Level 6:I'd take heal at 6, it is by far the best healing spell up to its level in quality, not just pure hp healed.
Also, the mass stat buffs i don't think are all that usefull, anyone who greatly benefits from them will have an item with the buff and they dont stack.

FVS also get enhancements to decrease the casting cost of Empowered spells.

Concentration is still necessary for scroll use. Personally, I would put some points into it.
I see what you did there!
