Displacer Beasts are my all-time favorite D&D monsters and I have yet to see them in a video game.

I'm going to go with "demilich" just for the amusement factor of all those players screaming "how the f*** do we kill this thing?"

What I would really like to see is more non-humanoid monsters. Having 2 arms, 2 legs and a head is fine but it gets boring.

Worms/snakes/maggots-like monsters or any crawling type would be a really nice addition. We know it can be done, the Marilith already has that kind of body.

You'll have to admit one of the best looking monster in DDO is the beholder, flailing their eyes around. We need more monsters with tentacles/multiple heads/chains flailing stuff around. I was kinda disappointed we didn't get fungi in the Red Fens.

Or of course anything with a totally aberrant form like gibbering mouthers, shambling mounds, xorns or silt horrors.

I am aware that these types of creatures take longer to model and animate, but it would add a LOT of visual diversity to the game.

A hydra would be pretty darn cool and be an amazing visual as well.

Owlbears would be fun, but without grappling they lose some of their appeal.

I would absolutely love to see a dracolich though, fun stuff!

+4 minimum weapon enchantment to bypass DR I believe, which in AD&D was considered at or near artifact/relic class of weapons. Insane hitpoints, absurd AC, immunities, regen, vorpal/severing bites, multiple high-dmg attacks per round, and I think a wish was required to perm-kill it.

Definitely the "kill everything" card for a DM to just end a party/campaign.

If you see one of these, DD, Word of Recall, or Teleport immediately. No hope! No hope!

Looks like I'll have to read up and see what else I don't know about Eberron; I had no idea Thri-kreen were in there. Dark Sun was my favorite world years ago, mostly because of that race.

I know they were in the console Baldur's Gate. And they were kinda lame there.

If it exists in D&D, it likely exists in Eberron. Just don't expect it to fill the same role .

If you look up Eberron, most information is going to be about the continent of Khorvaire, which is the default location for the setting. The other continents are less fleshed out (hence why DDO is on Xen'drik, plus it best lends itself to exploration of the mysterious.), although there are books on them.

You obviously never played in our 1st-40th level campaign towards the end of it

I joked at one point with one of the other DMs that we should change "number of creatures per encounter" from Unique to 1d6

I would like to see some ultra powerful spellcaster enemies.

so far all the casters in ddo are weak, (save a couple named or raid bosses like abbot) like 2-3 hits from a greataxe and they're toast

the kind that make your barbarians hide behind rocks and you need to use ranged or specific spell debuff strategies before you send a melee in.

    they would need to be:

-immune to charms, instakill, stun etc.
    -using quicken, heighten, enlarge
-have a killer spell list...mord's disjunction, energy drain, and wail of the banshee would be a fun combo
-also have a very aggressive spellcasting AI. they need to spam a combo and FAST or else the challenge is lost and becomes boring and too easy like most other fights
-oh and have see invisibility, spot skill 100 and spell resistance 40

i want something thats powerful enough that it scares most groups, but maybe only placed in optionals so the quest is still finishable by your average party. maybe make it an elite mindflayer?
